I've liked O'Nien since he came here and I love him now. He's getting right up there as one of my all time favourite players . I can't wait for his reaction when we get promoted.
I think you'll find Curtis was talking about your goal... Re Tims comments, he's an emotional fella and he's under a degree of pressure after not a brilliant start. As he said, when your at the top, things tend to go for you, when you're at the other end everything seems to go against you. Its taking time to get his ideas actually in motion. He just wants to win. Connolly is a strange one. At times playing for us he looked like a telly tubby, often had a problem with his foot and played in tights FFS.
No, just watched again to make sure and he's talking about the Mepham incident. As far as the manager's comments were concerned I was particularly asking about why Madley should study how Hull take their dead balls. That has to be one of the most idiotic statements I've ever heard tbh ... ... I wouldn't get attached, I don't think he'll see the season out. The owner said Rosenior wasn't following his football philosophy. TBH, if this is what the owner wanted he shouldn't be involved in football, it's total chaos and looks like a 14yo playing a computer game. You haven't had much luck with owners to be fair.
Your a decent side but you had no shots on target. I've seen that with Sunderland in the past, even worse not creating any chances. Start of second half I was worried you's had an answer to our tactics. I think we are getting luck but we are making it due to all the right ingredients. Hopefully we both do each other favours throughout the season I don't mind Hull.
What a prick. The goal was his fault. RLB just did a job on him. We battered away first half but they were so deep we created nothing. Second half RLB stood us off them and they took the bait. Thought they were in the game. And we hit them with a fabulous counter. The ref didnt touch the ball their player had it for a good few second and just cocked up. The manager cost them the game as he had ALL of their players except the keeper in or around our box Absolute schoolboy stuff. Funny how all these teams think we are just average and lucky. Imagine the carnage in the league when we start playing well.
The Championship is a very tough league and examples of two teams playing free flowing football are rare. Whenever we have to play lumpy physical teams it's obviously going to be a tough ugly game. Teams like Hull naturally try to subdue the talents of Rigg, Jobe, Roberts, Mundle, etc. That's fair enough and they're entitled to do that, they managed quite well. But class will often tell and Wilson has that, whereas the Hull strikers don't. I expect many of our future games will be a physical battle settled by a moment of class ... ... if the opposition don't like that I honestly don't give a shyte
Wilson says fasten your seat belts. Magic Carpet en route? It's happening... https://x.com/IsidorWilson/status/1848064737826988108?t=r56GOy6EbH6cgbTYHc-nag&s=19
