I really hope not. Doesn’t suit his game at all. Hopefully we don’t show Hull the amount of respect we showed Leeds.

Equally I think Le Bris wants players to learn and master the different approaches so it’s possible he might after a bit of work on it. I think this approach is class.

That's right and I can see it happening again at Hull.

It wasn't right for Leeds but Hull, in my opinion, will come at us from the start because that's how the manager wants them to play. Of course, with RLB, it's never clear what he'll do from game to game ...

... it's amazing that kids like Jobe can take it all in tbh.

I've listened to that Hull fan on What the Falk podcast and by the sounds of it Hull go all out attack, I think we can combat that with the likes of either Isidor/Mayenda playing in the shoulder of the centre halves and Mundle on the left. If we can use the pace of those players I feel we could push Hull back. Midfield needs to get at their opposite numbers and deny them space for us to get a foothold. Wouldn't be surprised to see us being more direct than we have been

Hull definitely have the ability to cause us problems. The two wingers, Millar and Belloumi are dangerous. Millar is the better player but Belloumi loves to cut in and shoot with his left foot. Walter will set them up to be all out attack, that's the way he has done things throughout his career so there's always the danger that they will simply have a good day in front of goal and win the game easily.

On the flip side, they are wide open defensively. Norwich found so much space in transition and just picked Hull apart, other teams have done similar I remember Sheff Utd having loads of chances on the counter attack against Hull a few weeks back. The Hull midfield can't/won't defend and leaves gaps everywhere, the full backs play ridiculously high which leaves the centre backs to cover the wider areas but they end up leaving a massive gap in between them with no real defensive midfielder to cover.

I expect us to go counter attacking and look to use our quick attackers to exploit the gaps Hull leave. I would like to see more sustained periods of possession and attacks than what we have seen recently, think we can control games a lot better than we have been.

1-3 win. Mundle x2 and Connolly from the bench.

Missing this one sadly as I'm.off to the Highlands with Mrs W and the dogs for a bit of walking and relaxation. I drove back down last year after just getting there but I've been told that is not happening this year. Oh well. Anyway very difficult game just not sure which Hull will turn up. I'd take a draw but I just think we can nick this on the counter with mundle and Roberts. Anyway to those that are going enjoy the game safe travels and remember keep the faith lads and lasses. Apologies RTB another cracking thread. We are lucky to have such detailed analysis. Cheers.

Cheers RTB. Good to be back.

I wonder if we are tempted to play Connolly. I think I would be. Probably harsh on Isidor so leave it as is. But I do think Connolly will force his way to our number 1 striker before long and the fans will love him.

Hope we are more switched on after the last break. Sure we will be. Regis seems to learn fast about the league and the players. Hull will come hard at us. Good, we are a very good counter attacking side. I agree with Smug that Neil may make it a back 5 out of possession as their wide players are a threat and it allows us to smother the space out wide. When we have it though we need to hit them fast so Mundle could be critical with his pace. I have a funny feeling Roberts will be a big player too, he has has been great this season for me, while Mundle gets the plaudits. Maybe role reversal with Roberts getting the cut inside goal. Doesnt really matter who scores though, a beauty of our team is loads can score. Might even be team for a Hume 30 yarder.

No predictions. I am never right anyway. Lets just keep the show on the road, maybe have one or two back and the lads will as always give it everything. All we can ask, even if they make mistakes, they are as honest a bunch as we have had in a ling time.

Thank god RTBs thread is back, its been a long 2 weeks !! Thanks again RTB.
I would bring Browne in for this game and give Rigg an extended rest, think we will need his experience in midfield because Hull are good going forward and hard to contain with wind in their sails. Be a tough afternoon and would take a draw, going for 2-2.

TBH Browne hasn't come here to sit around on the bench ...

... he needs to play, and be fit, for when times get tough.

He’s just lost his place in the Irish squad too. He’ll be desperate to get back in so needs to be playing more here.
