At the start of 2022 they were saying it wasn’t expected to reopen until 2025 though? https://maritimehull.co.uk/whats-ha...t-work-to-hulls-maritime-museum-gets-underway
When it first closed the aim was 2023 https://museumsandheritage.com/advi...seum-set-temporary-closure-11m-refurbishment/ Then I'm pretty sure I remember seeing 2024. Recently it said spring 2025 on the hoardings. Now it's late 2025. I only remember as my kids keep pestering me about it. Also had to break it to them that there won't be inflatable octopus tentacles protruding from the building.
Pal setting up an art degree display at Hull College about ‘War’ nothing graphic contains a fake rifle maybe in wood , he’s good working with it etc - been told by the higher ups to screen it off and alter the content as it may offend some people, ffs !!! It’s 80 years since D day and he’s not celebrating war , it’s a reflection and a thought provoking work . You can guess the age of those in charge of course .
There's nothing like a subtle post, and that's nothing like one. (I agree with it though) The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
80 years ago my Dad was in the first wave to land on Sword Beach, he never spoke about it. He lived until he was 83 , also at Dunkirk. Very Proud of him.
The D Day Remembrance has just finished on the BBC and all I can say is WOW. Watching the smiles on those Veterans faces was a joy and hearing their stories, brave, brave men.
