Pharmacy2U - Surely you wouldn’t have to move doctors, it’s up to you where you get your prescriptions from?
It amazes me how many medications some people are prescribed!! 64 and I'm on 1 (an allergy / rhinitis spray). I get that a minority of people with multiple health issues might need a range of medications for their range of issues, but there seem to be so many people taking 10+ these days. I know of some, I hear / read of some, and I see some coming away from counters with their bundles. Can't be right, can it?
I use AirMid UK. You can download the app from Google Play or the Apple app store. You have to fill a form in from surgery and get a pass code. I always sort my tablets out for the week on a Saturday night and order any that need replacing. (Though if some will run out midweek you can order anytime). 9 times out of 10 arrive Tuesday or Wednesday. Have ordered on a midweek evening and had them delivered next morning. That of course depends on all their drivers being available which is beyond the control of anyone.
I’ll check it out, thank you. I’m only going by my wife’s previous experience where the GP refused to issue her prescription to the Lloyds online home-delivery service because it had become so unreliable. As you say though they can presumably still issue a prescription to me and then me use it to order online, but the whole point is to try and automate it as far as possible so I don’t know how that would work for repeat orders. I will investigate…
It's a brave new world out there. My friendly divorce begins in the new year, as all my children are officially adults now, and I won't deny that I'm looking forward to widening my horizons.
