Agreed I had the misfortune of hearing him whining about himself for five minutes earlier today just stfu and do your job I’ve been made redundant before I didn’t spend the time moaning about been kept on please, I had to carry on with my job
I assume he can take his full pension and redundancy as he's 64, although obviously I don't know how much that would be (mainly because I've no idea what he is paid or when he started working for the BBC) I know from chatting to him he'll be ok, but he knows it's a much bigger issue for younger ones in the same position.
Carnage on the A63 again today... A lorry on its side across the central reservation and maybe broken down Portakabin lorries too... what they'd give for a hard shoulder eh!!!
The ****wits that are the highways agency would still close the whole road anyway. Was down the A34 dual carriageway at the weekend and came accross a traffic jam both lanes at a standstill. Being on the bike worked my way through to the front and found highways agency car blocking the road while AA man changed a wheel on a car which had pulled onto the verge leaving both lanes free.
Not sure a hard shoulder is much use when someone manages to lay their lorry across all lanes and across the central reservation...
Will Ashcourt be tendering for the repair job ...?..... Lets hope there was no one on the opposite carriageway minding their own business...
Quite daft when you have to call a recovery company from Retford to come and right the overturned truck.
My partner was in a multiple pile up on the Smart Motorway M1 near Luton about 3 years ago. They had the cars cleared in 30-45 mins and the guy who towed her car told her the company he worked for had built a new site just off the motorway as it was perfect for all the prangs the smart motorway had caused. Had to go pick her up. City had played and won in Luton that day so saw plenty of our chaps in Luton plus a Hindu wedding which literally closed the high st off. Talk about a bad day for driving.
