That's the funny thing. The mods join in, or even sometimes start, these tangent discussions, and then when it suits they delete or close!! Not having a go at you mods, thankless task, but just saying.
It's probably just me, but I think the funny thing is leveling up meaning it went downhill. I knew gravity was a ****ing lie.

PM awards £19m levelling funding to his own constituency Documents show the £19m will be used “to transform Catterick Garrison town centre” in his own constituency “This includes new routes for walking and cycling, a new town square, and a new community facility that will host new businesses and a community kitchen.”

One of the most distinctive buildings in Hull city centre will be brought back to life. Funding has been secured for a £2.4m project to transform the historic Burton store opposite Beverley Gate, Whitefriargate. The curvy art deco building, built way back in 1936, had faced an uncertain future after the menswear shop closed for good in 2021. Now, it is hoped it will reopen as a retail space or restaurant, with high-quality offices on the upper floors. Hull developer Wykeland Group has secured two major investments, totalling £1.2m, to restore the Grade II-listed building. The project could lead to the creation of 68 new jobs. Money has been provided by Hull City Council’s Levelling Up Fund grant scheme, which has given £750,000, and Historic England, which has granted £450,000 through the High Street Heritage Action Zone. Wykeland is investing a further £1.2m.
A film crew is filming in the Old Town again next week for twelve days, not heard what it's for yet, but Rovertiger is taking no chances and staying at home this time. Last time they were here he was down High Street, and ten passersby thought they were filming an Elephant Man remake. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Rover also avoids Hull Minster now, last time he was in there someone asked him what time he was ringing the bells. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Regardless of what they are filming, it will be a lot of people partaking in the delights of Hull, and spending money
