So Debenhams is gone and Asos and Boohoo have bought up- pretty much all of the Arcadia brands but not the shops. Really does herald the death of the High Street as we knew it.

In the eye off the beholder. Better that than a decades old derelict site, and, unlike 'some', the developer has a record of delivering completed projects.
Nah, it's just ugly, it'll look dead tatty after 10 years.
I am looking forward to seeing the flock of what look suspiciously like flamingos flying over Ferensway .

Castle Street footbridge has finally opened to pedestrians.
A footbridge, for pedestrians, who'd a thunk it?
I guess they'll tolerate wheelchairs, even if they're excluded from the description.
As wheelchairs and mobility scooters are legally entitled to use pedestrian walkways, it's a moot point.
Words have meaning. Pedestrian stems from 'on foot' and 'foot'bridge and 'walk' ways are self explanatory.
You should have thrown in the word tautology.
I suppose introducing more accommodation into the City centre hopefully makes it more sustainable to support businesses etc.
