I'm assuming it was in the budget yesterday, I only know because it was in today's daily email from a trade magazine.
Tommy Coyle's Barrow Boys bar has just announced it's shut down, I didn't think it had been there long, but apparently it's been at that site for eighteen months.
I don't think it helps that Humber St is far side of Clive Sully - unless I was purposely going somewhere in that area i wouldn't walk past the Old Town pubs for a pint in Humber Street; saying that, the new bridge should help get footfall over there, twt as they say.
It needs more people with spare money to be living there, if that happened there'd need to be a bit more for them to do to keep them that side of Castle Street and it'd probably need a small supermarket or 2. Bit of a chicken and egg situation really, the outlets that are there now must be struggling to stay afloat.
I generally go over and have a drink in Minerva and Taphouse Minerva is permanently busy every day . I'm not sure whether Humber street will ever take off. TWT. Hopefully it will
all business closures are sad, but this is personally regrettable as it was our go to place for birthdays and anniversaries.
I’m sure there are a few places out there with as good food and drink - it’s the emotional attachment and memories that we’ll regret.

I think I've seen that before but it's always good to see again. I'm always impressed by that sort of precision engineering.
