If you're walking that way there's a little beer shop in paragon arcade !
It sells lots of different beers from all over .
Great selection of Belgian stuff plus a few German .
You can sit outsude the shop on the tables n chairs and drink it .
    It's a little bit different .
Nice sat in a Victorian arcade :emoticon-0148-yes:

It’s the same couple that run 80 days on Prinny Ave. Cracking tiny boozer
Nice people who are properly into their beer.
    Friends of my daughters.

HCC have made an application for £22m of funding from the Future High Streets Fund, to redevelop Whitefriargate.

    Decision due September.

I can remember when Humber Street was full of rats, nowadays it's full of prats!

It’s not. It’s often empty now.

The council failed to continue the legacy and reacted by whacking rent up and forcing things to close already.

It was quite busy down there yesterday, I was surprised, as it was dead last time I went down there (on a Bank Holiday).

Is it the council putting rents up?

I thought it was all owned by Wykeland?

It's a joint venture between Hull City Council and Wykeland Beal, though the Council aren't managing it, so it's not them putting the rents up.

It's also not really true, some of the businesses down there got the places for peanuts while the development was being done (Fruit etc), now much of it's completed, they're either having to pay commercial rents or move on.

Maybe when the bridge over to fruit market is finished it might make it more accessible?

Rent prices obviously need to be sustainable first.
