Have you ever tried Seaways café at Fridaythorpe. Good fry-up and always busy with bikers. Used to be a regular stop before I had to let the GSX go.
I have mate, we go a couple of times every season; they do as good a sausage and egg sarnie as you'd get anywhere
Two gingers in paragon arcade. It's hip without being pretentious hipster. Some good stuff going on in paragon arcade. Caffienated in the indoor market. Sometimes have city fan related flyers so that's an extra tick. Indoor market food hall is also thriving. I recommend the Greek stall. Just need to beat the queues. Most of the good independents get all their beans from the blending room, s9 not much between them. And as for the margins on coffee. Costs them pennies per cup and they charge 2-3 plus quid.
Of course out of the 2-3 quid there are the small matters of business rates, which can be eye watering, water rates, rent, electricity, staffing costs, raw materials, VAT etc...to be taken out.
If you like good home cooking the Granary Cafe at Bell Mills Garden Centre,Driffield is worth a visit for lunch if passing through that way. Never had anything less than excellenf there.
Turns out crasher was a TWOCer from the city of Robin Hood, been listening to too many Bob Marley songs and not reading his koran. Hang 'em high.
The Old Tile Works cafe just over Humber Bridge does the best homemade steak pie I've ever had. This is my mum tucking in to one.
Of course, same as everywhere else that has a product with a markup nowt like that on a cup of coffee. A good independent coffee shop do alright. **** ones don't.
I had chips with mine. Gravy came in a separate jug. My mum doesn't like gravy. It's a steak pie, loads of steak in it, no gristle.
