Come on then - in what way? Which part exactly was ‘remarkably daft’ for someone who has worked for 23 years in high-level strategic PR for some of the country's largest employers?

I could get Hull Venue on the front page of every single national newspaper, the lead story on all broadcast news and the most retweeted story in the history of the world. Of course the narrative would be off.

If you’d like to explain how not securing a mid-range artist to play your new venue helps shape the narrative and realise outputs vs outcomes then I’d love to hear it.

By tweeting from the Hull Venue account that the Queen of England is a ****.

People who don’t understand PR always seem to think it’s about awareness gained by column inches and social media engagement rather than shaping the desired narrative. Of course tweeting this would be detrimental to the brand but it would make the news while being utterly pointless in terms of realising outcomes.

Much like tweeting that you failed to book an artist for your venue.

You've got more chance of telling me how to make 3/4 length trousers, than you have of doing my PR...

It would certainly have an actual narrative, other than ‘artist doesn’t want to play here’.

    You couldn’t afford me.

If I’m good enough for British institutional icon M&S how could I possibly be good enough for you?

No, but you could get some exploited people in a sweat shop to make them, bring them into the country and sell them at a massive mark up.
