I see on the Venue website, that the opening date has been changed from September 2018, to 'early 2018', apparently it's 45% complete.

I know why didn't the council's in this country do what the Europeans did.
I watched the Hairy Bikers in Gdansk on Telly the other night.
After it was badly damaged during the war the people of the City rebuilt the centre exactly as it was.

Not the best profile retailer, but it's at least an improvement on Poundland...

Why do they use their full name: sportsdirect.com.

They will do better business just using SD Tigers.

That picture I think was post war, I can remember that bank and then building the new one, unless my memory is playing tricks on me. Looking at the cars I would say during the fifties this picture was taken.

The picture was dated on the site I took it from, from memory, I think it was 1960.

It's amazing what can be achieved if you work with the council, pity some other people in the area didn't take a leaf out of their book.

P.S. Look a great addition to the City.

Looks another good scheme, I actually really like how the current building reflects the Minster from ground level, but obviously it's otherwise pretty ugly.

Used to be a Terrance Conran store here at one point, Habitat I think, and I was in London last weekend and saw that there was a Habitat still open, thought they had gone bust yeas ago.
