Equivalent of a forward scuffing a shot infront of an open goal, a keeper letting a weak shot through his arms. It happens. Steve Bruce is the perfect man to have a word with him and get him to realise it affects nothing moving forward.
Steve Bruce needs to have a word with him AGAIN, its not the first time he's done it! That said in his defence why wasn't Harper shouting to him let it go, no danger whatsoever, no need to react!
People moaning about Dean need to rewind a whole 4 days to when we were on the right end of two generous refereeing decisions against wba, yeah he made a **** decision but we've had some in our favour too
A few **** decisions is one thing, sending off a player who shouldn't have been sent off and awarding a penalty that wasn't a penalty is an entirely different matter.
I doubt we'll appeal it though, there seems little point when he's out injured anyway, though we may do just to highlight the wrong decision. Still, it was an encouraging performance all round, it we perform like that on Saturday, I'd fancy us.
Agreed, if we play like that with 11 I reckon we can muller Stoke. I'm sorry McG is injured, but Harper is more than good enough. We definitely should appeal it, it was never a red, apart from the fact of the handball which negated any chances, he wasn't even the last man, so at worst it was a yellow. If Ox can get away with nowt, McG should too.
Anyone heard Brucie talk about it the penalty? He said he asked Mike Dean who called it, and Mike said he did himself. He looked round and saw Diame on the floor and thought it must have been a red card and pen If that twat isn't sacked the game is broken. The FA need tearing down.
There are other repercussions from cards. If McG is to come back then get sent off again he'd have a 3 game ban next time for a start. Clubs have a hefty fine to pay on a red card, as do the players themselves I believe, and if it's a wrong decision it also defaces the fair play table, though I'm not sure if that really has any baring on anything.
The assistant that gave the pen and recommended the red card was Scott Ledger, part of Andre Marriner's team that couldn't tell the difference between Kieron Gibbs and Oxlade-Chamberlain...
Hi Hull Tigers fans. I thought you looked ok with ten men last night. You had a lot of the ball but I don't remember once thinking you were going to score from open play. We were poor though. We should be winning games like this far more convincingly. At least we are both staying up. Be interesting to see how you do in the difficult second season.
looked ok????? did you watch the same game. We was robbed barring a gift from the ref. And I have no doubt whatsoever that we would of won with 11 men.
We scored a genuine goal, which is more than I can say for your team. Absolutely shocking to watch 11 v 10 with one up front and less possession.
Mike Dean is not bent simply useless. He has been for years so he ran true to form. As for that linesman he is another clueless flag waver. We did not lose the game. Mike Dean simply gifted it to West Ham with many shocking decisons. Plus with our goal difference that makes it 9 points. One more just one more win and we are safe now imo. That was the issue. Chester should and could have left it but looking at his reaction i would suggest that Chezza ignored any shouts from Harper sadly for the lads. A point at the very least was what they deserved. West Ham look dire and have a few more losses to come imo. Very true. The penalty was harsh but they happen in the current climate of the PL. It was the rest of Mike Dean's performance that is open to debate and questions should indeed be asked of it.
