I think Bruce should start Huddlestone and Diame but if they are not effective bring on Meyler - for both of them.
I'd also start Huddlestone and Diame, if there was ever a game where Diame is likely to rise to the occasion, it's this one.
If he scores from every set piece we get (other than kick-offs, throw ins and goal kicks) I'll be happy.
McGregor saved penalties from Lampard, Austin and Dorrens in the Premier League and Wood in the Championship. Jakupovic saved one against Mahrez in the cup, but that's it isn't it?
Saying Snodgrass is only on the pitch for set pieces is quite obviously bollocks, even if his biggest critic says it.
I was only looking at the league stats, I forgot about the Leicester one and the shoot out against Accrington.
He's saved 13 if you include Rangers, Scotland & Besiktas http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/allan-mcgregor/elfmeterstatistik/spieler/9422
Quite apart from the starting team Bruce also needs to have a plan b and not wait till too late to implement it.
That will be Meyler to bolster the midfield if needed and Akpom to stretch a tiring Wendies defence (hopefully)
Sometimes you don't realise that Diame is even playing. But he does try to beat players in dangerous positions whereas most City players prefer to pass the ball or beat players for speed on the wing.
