Leeds fan in peace. Strange match last night and it probably won’t surprise you when I say the City fans, both during and after the game, seemed totally apathetic about the whole thing. It was as if they couldn’t be bothered to even be angry anymore. I used to work for a Hull company and I remember an event I went to about four to five years ago when Assem Allam was a speaker. I think City were in the Premier League at the time and the fans had just voted down his attempt to rename the club? I may be wrong. That evening he seemed very tetchy and I wasn’t sure if he was “all there” to be honest, to the extent that he seemed reluctant to stop talking and had to be coaxed off stage by a family member. Something seemed “not right”, especially at a club in a position at that time that LUFC could only dream of. The point I am trying to make is that if this guy could show malevolence to the fans when the situation was so good, especially financially, the damage he could do now, when shoved into a corner, could be catastrophic. I know that you lot loved it when Ken Bates was dismantling LUFC, piece by piece, so you won’t get much sympathy from down the M62 now that you have managed to find your own nemesis, not necessarily from me as I have some good mates who are City fans. But based on last night, it’s going to get worse for you lot before it gets better. And take it from a hard-bitten Leeds supporter, don’t assume your next owner can’t be worse than the last.
What I wanna know is: You're a Leeds fan but are named after a Smiths' song which is named after/about an area in South Manchester. It just doesn't sit right with me. I really can't imagine a Man City or Man Utd fan coming on here, calling themselves On The Leeds Side Streets That You Slip Down or a Hull City fan calling themselves after the TG track Leeds Ripper. Explain yourself or be off with you, you snaggled toothed vulture.
Correct. No one's listening. Owners haven't attended home games for about 3 years now, wasting your breath, like Leeds fans chanting about their 'rivalry' with Man Utd. Your comment about the next owners have been noted. A look around the EFL sadly bears this out. Some utter fruitcakes out there.
It was an old fella who had been to do his shopping, they probably thought he was no kind of threat to anybody. He shouted out ' this is what you have reduced us to' before unleashing his cabbage at Bruce. Best protest ever.
I like the song and my musical taste is not compromised by football or geography. I suppose your musical library consists entirely of The Housemartins and 19th century Sea Shanties?
Based on the amount and frequency of songs that Man United fans sing about Leeds, I get the impression that they miss us..... Bless Em
To be fair, it's the entire football league that sing songs about hating Leeds. Let's not focus on Man U.
