Chazzy, Chazzy what's the score, Chazzy what's the score?
I'm guessing we lost 2-1 by your comments. Possibly 1-1 as I just re read it again & there's no mention of them scoring, just the equaliser then mention of their 7 scoring. Ok I'm going to guess 1-1! Final answer!
Worrying that you say we played better when Snodgrass went off & some kid came on. The way he's been talked up I'm expecting him to be the saviour & hero to take us back to the PL!

It was apparently SB that asked for him to be taken off at half time, maybe snodders is getting a longer run out on Saturday ????

No he played OK, I have seen 2 of the games he played in the U21's and his first touch now is much better, so certainly he is shaking off the rustiness.

That's what struck me, I don't think he will start, but could well get a longer game time Saturday than he has had so far.

I'd only bring him on if we're winning, I know he needs game time, but he still looks way off the pace at the moment.

He wouldn't get in City's team.
    I went.
Leeds looked the better side in the first half, more physical and not giving City any time on the ball and scored a good goal. We had Snodgrass up front for the first half and he had a decent run around without stretching himself too much. No sign of Leur which might mean he is in the frame for Saturday ?
Second half City were all over them, scored a cracking goal, had one point blank saved by the keeper ( who knew nothing of it) and another one smacked against the bar, bounced over the line and out again but the linesman was still near the half way line and missed it.
Great second half performance by a very talented bunch of young lads representing Hull City.
    1-1

That summed it up quiet well, I didn't realise till reading HDM report that Leeds had 5 first teamers in the side, I guess it showed size wise. Their number 7 that score the goal looks a good player.

Hull City U21s 1 Leeds United U21s 1: Greg Olley rescues point as Robert Snodgrass departs early

Hull City's under-21s produced a comeback that was beyond the club's first-team two days earlier as Greg Olley's second-half strike rescued a 1-1 draw against Leeds United.

Tony Pennock's men had been on course for a rare defeat when trailing through Jordan Botaka's opener in a first period shaded by Leeds, but City were not to be beaten at the KC Stadium.

Backed by over 700 fans, the Tigers' responded well after the interval and grabbed their reward through half-time substitute Olley. Only the brilliance of visiting keeper Eric Grimes and a dubious goal-line call prevented City from all three points and revenge for the weekend derby loss at Elland Road.

"The boys lacked a bit of self-belief at the start, which was something they had to overcome, but the second half for me was probably the best 45 minutes we've produced this season," said Pennock.

"For me to say that is a big thing this season because we've put in some excellent performances. The way we passed the ball and competed, it was definitely as good as anything we've done this year."

The attitude of City was always to be admired – unlike the first team's loss to the same opposition – but the experience of the visitors gave them an upper hand through the opening stages.

A Leeds side that included no fewer than five first-team players shaded the first half. Kalvin Phillips shot over the bar from range, before Rory Watson was called upon to make a smart low save Evan Mulhern from inside the penalty area.

Leeds continued to show the greater purpose and got their reward in the 35th minute as two senior players combined for a smart goal. Casper Sloth's cross from the left flank was a wicked inswinger and Jordan Botaka was unmarked to send a clinical header beyond the helpless Watson.

City's first-half performance stuttered without ever clicking into gear. The home team's best chance fell to the lively Ben Hinchcliffe when he climbed highest to meet Matty Dixon's deep cross but the striker, who has excelled for the under-18s this season, sent his header narrowly wide of the upright.

Snodgrass was neat and tidy on his latest run-out. Slowly but surely the rustiness is leaving the Scot's limbs after 15 months out but his withdrawal at half-time coincided with City posing a greater threat after the break.

Central to the improvements was Snodgrass' replacement, Olley. The 19-year-old was denied an equaliser by a miraculous save from Eric Grimes, who turned over his bar from point-blank range, but he would not be denied at the second time of asking just after the hour mark.

Clever interplay down the right flank released captain Matty Dixon and his excellent cross was calmly turned home by Olley. Grimes again got a hand to it but could only push the ball into the roof of the net.

There was only ever one winner from that point. Max Clark's shot flew just past the post from 15 yards out before City thought they had edged themselves in front with 12 minutes remaining.

Olley's pass sent Hinchcliffe racing clear and though his shot appeared to cross the line when coming down off the bar, neither the assistant nor the referee saw fit to award a goal.
