How the hell can you not see that this is a glorious opportunity for HCC, and especially Gerrahty and Brady to do themselves some much needed good? To actually do what they were elected for, and paid for? Unless they're quite confidant that actually, they don't need to do **** all, their jobs are safe as houses? You're actually blaming and spitting venom at Dr Allam when 100% HCC are doing **** all, despite it 100% being their ACTUAL JOBS. Leaving aside the Club v HCC bollocks, there is absolutely NO reason for HCC to do **** all, and every reason for them to do something, anything.
It's very easy to say "the council should be doing this that and the other..." or "If they can find money for so-and-so, they should be able to find money for this." But it's naive bollox, as well you know. The budget is spent. You can't just magic funds out of thin air, you ****nuts.
That's because Hull City Council is Labour, and they love spending other people's money. I'd vote to join East Riding Council, not the other way around. Terry Geraghty is just a dinosaur.

Nothing's changed. Geraghty's been a silly **** for ages, and it certainly doesn't stop Allam being a silly **** too. I don't think his problem is with Allam he just hates Hull City.
Not sure if they teach this at your school but generally councils , Labour or otherwise tend to spend other peoples money it's called taxation clever lad. Of course you are free to put yourself forward for the council on the basis you'll only spend your money in elected Clearly in your case a little more on basics education wouldn't have gone amiss

So if we get into the group stages the council will do nothing and let 1500 tourists x3 or more if we progress have nothing put on for them??
Agreed. Geraghty's terrible. It doesn't get away from the fact that you can't suddenly produce funds once they've gone. And it's nowt to do with Labour being in charge; the aim of any local government is to spend their budgets before central governments slash them.
Are our own fans allowed to engage with the Belgian fans coming over in the city centre before the match or will the over anxious police be in too much of a flap I can see the police misinterpreting peaceful gestures for signs of trouble and kicking up a funk full of moth
The budget may well be spent but it wouldn't have cost Geraghty or the council a bean for him to simply say that he and Hull City Council welcome all the Belgium football fans with open arms and hope they enjoy everything the city has to offer......etc etc etc.
Actually...I agree with your points here. I don't despise TG (and Brady for that matter) because he's Labour (far from it in fact) or in fact that he's a councillor (again, far from it) I despise him because he's frigging useless, and people still defend him and use his inability to do his job, and his clear dislike and disdain for our football club are evident and used as an excuse by him to do **** all, and this seems to encourage some to use it as an excuse to have a dig at Dr Allam, who whilst far from blameless is not at fault in this. Plus, despite being from Hull, despite being a representative of the people, despite holding the portfolio for advertising the city, he makes zero effort to disguise the fact he's an egg chasing fan and holds ALL OF US FOOTBALL FANS in total contempt. Yet some will still defend him. I don't get that at all.
