While i'm a neutral in all of this, Dave i can't see how you can get on WLOH case about abusing people, yet others abuse him without punishment, hardly fair justice! yes i know what he has said is pretty stupid, yet even he is entitled to the same level of respect!

You surprise me Guru, this is all about your favourite subject, history, dating way back to the old 606, W-l-o-H has committed enough offences to have lost any respect at all! The fact that he is on a final warning should be a pretty big clue!

Tell you what, you can take him on a free transfer, I'll even throw in a packet of biscuits!

I served my punishment for old crimes on 606 and start of not 606 - I took a 5 month exile from this site as I feel that is what i should have been banned for. BUt now I am back and deserve another chance. I havent killed anyone or abused anybody. I am here to give my football opinions and not be horrid to anyone.

I personally think Owen would be a cracking signing - he is a world class finisher (better than any striker we have ever had) and IF (and its a big IF) he stayed fit and his wage demands werent too outrageous he could prove a great signing. Could at least enquire how much we would need to pay wages wise, baring in mind we can pay a bit more as he would be free.

Sorry to disappoint you WloH, you are, and you will remain one step away from a permanent ban! You were given numerous chances in the past, you have been banned from several boards on not606, you are most definitely in last chance saloon!

    What? Owen?

WTF? Why would you? That would be crackers.

I can't even register a hostile or argumentative comment towards the Owen suggestion as I'm too bemused to speak.

It doesnt matter that Im on my last chance Dave as I know I wont do anything to blow it. There is no chance of me doing anything that warrants me getting a ban because Im reformed - understand I was annoying in the past. Im just looking forward to the new season and hearing all the transfer gossip and happenings that occur before then.

I think Owen is quality and is only 31/32? There is no doubting his class, just his fitness.

How much would Rhodes cost? Maybe a raid on one of the three releagted teams. All of them have the odd player who would improve our squad.

Wages is the problem with the relegated teams, they all pay fairly highly and we would have to push the boat out to grab a top player! Having said that, I fancy Chris Eagles. The general consensus (sorry carrabuh) is that Rhodes will be overpriced considering noone knows how he would actually fare, and at least until January he should sit in the Championship!

As for Owen... if the offside rule didnt exist i'd have him, attach him to a sliding line in the 18-yard box, and feed him the ball. Considering he can't run without tearing his leg off, though, I wouldn't be bothered.

Charlie Austin? He has been a bit hit and miss, a few injuries but once he had a decent run i think he done alright.

Money shouldn't be a problem with Owen, he gives most of his away anyhow!

I'm sure the bookies are very grateful!

    Ranger in peace..... Gulp!

Whilst I'd love to see Olly get another crack in the Premiership, you guys made a very good appointment in Houton - he was very good with Newcastle, and nearly made it up with Birmingham. I recon you guys are safe from te drop this season :)

As for Owen, I'd rank that alongside us signing Dyer as most optimistic transfer that will backfire and cost your physio lots of time! Leave him/her to keep your current team fit :)

Eagles would be a good signing, who else do you guys want to get in? I recon we should also be safe, with one proviso - we need to sign a decent central defender (or two)!!

If you're interested, I recon you guys will finish 13/14th, with us a couple of places ahead of you. Good luck forte season :)

I thought Hughes was boring until I saw an interview with Hughton. He should be employed by hospitals up and down the country to naturally induce coma's, would save a tonne of taxpayers' money on drugs.
