Random figures? I was one out. Hughes has got every team into Europe, Warnock has relegated or been sacked before he could relegate every team in the PL. Yes, Warnock is the better manager.
Why hasn't Hughes been able to sort out the defence - still no clean sheet since October. I was underwhelmed by his appointment, although at the very least I thought he'd have us organised. However it seems he has appointed Frank Spencer as our defensive coach, judging by our inability to defend.
Yes, well said! I agree! If we can't persuade Neil to come back, perhaps Curbishley is the man to sort our Club out, not just for a short term fix but for a few seasons.
You have got Hughes at the wrong time as if you remember he was actually good up and coming manager, highly rated with Wales, was doing fairly decent Blackburn, Man City (he had his moments) then his problem i believe is that he feels he deserves the big jobs and now he doesn't seem to have that passion and desire to work his way up again. I thought Hughes would have at least made a big impression, got your defence sorted, built from the back but to me it seems he is taking you lot backwards and doesn't seem to have much of a clue on how to stop this rot. Shame as I like QPR as a club and hope you stay up!
Hughes took Fulham's Rock Solid defence that had been to a Europa league final and made it much weaker, with only a slight improvement in attacking play. Bobby Z played OK for Hughes, but his partnership with AJ was nowhere near as good as it had been under Hodgson
And this is what proper gets my goat. Hughes in my opinion would not be the man to get us out of the championship, but as you say, he has to keep his reputation and so we would essentially be stuck with him if we went down. I was sad when Warnock went but actually quite excited when Hughes came in. Regardless of whether he has had bad luck or not, it hasn't and isn't working out and I just can't see us staying up. You need a battler in the championship and Hughes is too much of a quiet man
If we go down, I don't think it will be a case of Hughes walking or not. TF will sack him for not delivering., he is also not the man to get us back up. ( That's if we go down btw. )
I'm not too sure TF would sack him. He doesn't want to appear like Briatore and co, as too much of an axe wielder. Again this highlights the problem of short-termism/instability, I think if he was sacked a lot less managers would fancy coming to Loftus road, thinking (and under the new owners this would be incorrect but have been tarred with the same brush) that they would not get a fair shot at being the manager. We would be narrowing our options
