I actually think Hughes could be very good .... but ......

He has come in and tried to change far too much, far too quickly and at a point in the season where there wasn't enough time .

Will he have the balls to stay with the club and sort it out?

    Will he get the boot?

Has he really got any choice?

What would happen to his reputation if he quit? He took the job knowing the problems and knowing what he needed to do and knowing that relegation was a distinct possibility. If he was brought in to build the club, something that has been lacking since before Briatore's time he should stay and do it.

Hi Guys, Fulham fan here. Sorry about your situation, most of your fans and your promotion winning players deserve much better (especially Mackie, who although not the most talented footballer works his heart out for your team and IS good enough to survive in the prem).

I have to agree with these two of your posters. Hughes, the arrogant c*** is 12th highest paid manager IN THE WORLD, he's been backed with cash for players and his expensive back-room tarts that follow him everywhere.

He takes his money from you, but takes no responsibility. He'll blame anyone and anything.

We at Fulham didn't want him in the first place, but having got him we backed him, like you guys have. He decided he was "more ambitious" than us - that means he had a problem with our salary cap - he only got about half what he gets with you from our Chairman Mo.

So, if you do go down............. well I'll be sorry for your genuine folk and delighted to see Hughes squirming and blaming other people, circumstances, luck, alignment of the planets....etc etc

On balance good luck to your team and give Hughes the bullet asap <ok><ok>

I don't buy into that 'ambition' crap, it seemed like an obvious media excuse cos there was a bust up or something between him and Al-Fayed, i think Fulham fans have taken it too seriously <ok>

In my heart, I was disappointed when Warnock was sacked but, in my head, I realised it may have been the right decision. If we were going to have someone new, I thought Hughes was a good choice, with a decent record. Having lived through the managerial merry-go-round under Briatore, I am a great believer in stability. Having chosen Hughes, we should stick with him. I hope and believe he has the balls to stay with us in the Championship and see us back up into the Premier League.

I firmly belive that our biggest handicap this season has been the unwillingness of the goons to spend the serious money required to upgrade our team into Premier League standard in time for us to have a decent pre-season with a settled squad. That is not Hughes' - or Warnock's - fault.

Fitz Hall? Seriously? And Rambo (top bloke, btw) for his experience of playing CB in the Premier League?

Now, if you said "Clint Hill", you might get my support but Fitz Hall....

Its us (as in the fans) who are the unlucky ones having to put up with the lack of professionalism.

I fail to see what Hughes has brought to the table.

Still better than the 1 win in 15 or 16 under Warnock but Hughes was let down badly by the players stupidity.

I dont think he will be here next season, I think he will leave for another job or by mutual consent and i dont think too many will be sorry to see him leave unless we get someone like Robson or Megson.

2 wins in 16 then, also hardly a 7 week bad run, more like 14 weeks.

My point is stop plucking random figures out of the air to support your argument. I'd also say that depends on your hopes and expectations for the season. We were around about where I expected we would be.

Seconded..I've long said I'd take 17th this year and next....

Didnt think we make it this hard though......Is it to much to ask ?..all i want is for our players to show some heart, passion and desire. If we lose then at least we can say we gave it a good go...!

2011/12 PL records of NW and MH if I can add up this morning!:

Under NW 20 games, 17 points = 0,85 point per game. Under MH 10 games, 8 points = 0,8 per game. Add in that MH has had the benefit of a few million £ worth of new players, and easier games on paper in his 10 games, this says to me NW has been the better Manager. This is what my eyes tell me too! Lets hope the stats say something else by 13 May. <laugh>
