One week he's happy; next week resigned but not citing another offer. He'll be as welcome as Sanchez would be. Really p'd off with him, and the Club. Or maybe you are right in that they smelled a rat. Europa League starts 4 weeks today and we have no manager. Rafa or Carlo would be good, without a one-year get-out.
Bandit - you are going to sit there and let James and Valjing bad mouth the Welsh? I hate to say it, but this may always be a problem for Fulham. We're a good club, but for ambitious managers we'll always be seen as a stepping stone rather than a destination. I'll take particular satisfaction when we kick the dog s*** out of Villa both home and away.
Somewhere in heaven Michael Jackson is crying. Anyway, I think Hughes left because of the statue. Let's pray for Jol. Attacking soccer has spoiled me rotten. COYW!
Well I'm going positive. I'd love Ancelotti, he's definitely a gent, in fact, despite the Chelsea connection, quite Fulhamish! Good luck to Hughes with Villa, the Newcastle of the midlands, by which I mean the fans' aspirations are impossible! It'll be a special occasion at the Cottage if he does go to Villa; although I don't think it's a good thing I think there'll be a bit of bile! Unlike Roy, whom at least took us on an adventure, we won't miss Hughes. Having said that how are you boys justifying this racism, seriously? Just substitute black for Welsh, would you feel comfortable with that? Leave it out.
I think it's his pay back time... We all (may be not all but majority) have been asking for his head after the West Ham game. At least he didn't do what Roy did and waited for an offer. He had the guts to resign. Really don't care. Also let's not forget that he knew all along that he was not the first choice after the Jol fiasco. So for me Jol is also out of the picture. Don't think that MAF will forgive his games to stay at Ajax. There is plenty of time to get a new manager that wants to be with the club. O' Neil might want to join, McLaren is good choice. In any case we want someone relative experienced coz don't fancy any of the young ones where the team flies the first half of the season and then head down!!!
Like Ancelotti but would he come - I would imagine his wage demands might be a bit too rich for Mo. McLaren is an excellent shout. Rebuilt his reputation with FC Twente who are not unlike us in many ways.
So angry at Hughes right now. All the talk about what a well run club we are, how the foundation is in place for great success and in his words 'what we're trying to achieve here.' We turn his career around after Man City had knocked him for six and know this is the thanks we get. To think I actually spent the 2nd half of the season feeling apologetic about calling for his head on boxing day. If a chelsea or a man utd had made such an offer I would be disappointed but would understand, but for Villa, who finished below us!? Inexcusable. Only hope we can get O Neill in to replace him. On the plus side, maybe Zoltan Gera has a future here after all?
Mclaren...are you serious? Did well in a seriously poor Dutch league. Bombed In Germany in a competitive league. Not for me. What's he done? Ok he's quite Fulhamish but... a risk if u ask me. MON or Jol are the bookies favorites. They are rarely wrong with these things.
Think you are being unduly harsh on him - look what he did with Middlesbro'. Always safe, European Final. Yeah, he wasn't the man for England but a decent club manager who has been brought up at the Old Trafford under SAF so must know a thing or two about the game.
Robespierre, I'd like to think you'd be right about my man Zolly. And most certainly about Brollyman being a hopeless choice.
If I'm honest I never really rated McClaren before he got the England job. I respect him for making the effort to rebuild his career in Holland but is he still cut out for premier league management, I feel that he might have to prove himself perhaps at a good championship club before returning to the prem. If he does get the job I will support him but I just feel were good enough to find someone better. ONeill or Jol seems most likely, both which I would take any day. Hope we don't get stuck with a Martinez, Curbishley or McCleish or anyone of that calibre
Come on now rocky,my parents are welsh and I was born in Barry, so cut out the race card, I still stand by what I said. This guy was out of work we threw him a life line,ok since christmas, the team have turned around, A team that he bought ( Well Solcido) but the others were established, the welsh B.....d
Quite a shock - I wonder what the REAAL story is? Why bother going to Villa, is it really a huge step up....? I'm aware of their history but still....
Having just joined the forum,i trust that certain members are not overly critical of how we call people If a player is having a bad game a cry may go up you useless b>>>>>D, but if we should add his ethnesticity he becomes a racist CRAP.
