I am probably the only one but we need Hughes to stay and sort it out and not sack him for some manager who will be no better. Cue the 'MH out mob'! I actually think that errors from players have cost us which is beyound his control. I also think that we are playing much better than some other teams that are around us. We are not getting the 'rub of the green' at the moment and players/management are frustrated as much as us. People that think our players don't want to win or care are deluded. Some of our fans on here are as 'fickle as Jordans knickers'. As i keep saying many didn't want Derry,Hill,Paddy, Mackie and then they did and now don't? Park was a good signing on here a few months back as was SWP and now they are crap. Hoylett would be good now hes not. Zamora would be strong up front now he is soft. Basingwa would be great now he is rubbish? The best one was MH coming in and the majority say well he would do and now 11 games into the season he should go? I remember the old day in League One when we had no team and buckets but a togetherness. Now we have become spoilt and if we are not top of the league we all cry. MH and his backroom staff have put alot into QPR as have TF/Amit/Mittals and a club need stability not like the days of Flabio and Bernie. I only hope that TF and co don't listen to half the posts that are written on here because our club would be in a worse place.
I have stated my support of Hughes for many weeks now, much later than many on here. But last Saturday was the final straw for me. We cannot keep blaming luck or mistakes on our situation - yes some games have been unlucky but how long do we keep saying it? At some point we have to look at the bigger picture. Why are mistakes being made? Why are we 'unlucky'. For me the time is now to look at the the manager and his failings. Our tactics have been at best naive at times, and he has reacted far too late in games (e.g. stoke were 1-0 up and made three subs, we didnt make 1 until they had made all theirs). Formations have also played a part in us being too defensive and too cautious. Some teams we have played against have been there for the taking - and we havent had the bottle to go for it. As I said, I supported Hughes for a lot longer than many, and felt he was the man to turn it around - but my patience has gone after repeated poor spells in games that are costing us. I will be delighted if he can get 3 points on Saturday, and turn our season around. No wins in 11 games cannot simply be passed off as unlucky imo.
Need stability? Wed have not got promoted under T&C if we didnt have stability. Can you imagine 4 years under Magilton or Hart? Sacking the managers wasnt the problem, it was hiring the wrong ones in the 1st place. Just like Hughes has always been wrong for us. You can blame whatever you want but 6 wins in 10 months should see any manager sacked, especially one thats had the largest transfer budget in our history.
That's a fair point. We wouldn't be in the prem if the previous owners wanted stability. Didn't Everton go through a heap of managers in the 90s before Smith stabilised and Moyes moved them forward?
I agree with some of what you're saying mate, but I don't think we can ignore Hughes's dreadful tactics and formations along with his incredibly bad record. At some point, something has got to give imo.
Agree with this ellers, not a fan of Hughes but I don't rate many others currently touted either. Staying with him is the best option of a bad bunch. Without wishing to appear as " the man who backed Hughes" in a Bateman cartoon, I think we've turned a corner - a win on Saturday will send us on a good run.
Just found this on another R's site and made me 'chuckle'. With all that's going on at HQ sometimes we need to have a bit of fun. https://www.youtube.com/embed/iNelqGieOEg Sorry if you have already seen.
