why do clubs persist in giving manager's with mediocre records jobs in the top flight. He doesn't even have experience in getting sides away from a relegation battle. Some manager's doing well in the lower leagues should be given more chances IMO
The win on Saturday say Moyes become only The 4th manager to have 200 wins in the PL. The others are Ferguson, Wenger and the much maligned Redknapp.
Never seen Ferguson's managerial abilities maligned on here, or Wenger's, but plenty dismissive of 'Arry. Probably the same people dismissive of the likes of Warnock and others who have had long careers.
Yeah I thought it was pretty obvious I meant Ferguson was the odd one out... Wenger is very much maligned indeed, kicking him is almost the hipster thing to do in football. But I wouldn’t put Redknapp in the same bracket as Warnock at all. Warnock is ****ing streets ahead, as evidenced by their performances this very season with vastly differing resources.
I certainly didn't. Decent owners who give managers a chance, good support. Would have thought there would have been better managers than him interested.
Have to say I am surprised they have opted for Lambert, I don't think he is a bad manager, but better than Hughes?
