It is again the current mindset of the fickle to pick a player and lump blame on him and I am sick of it Mr Peter has spent time making up a load of **** . To suggest we would be top of the league is plain stupid Henry keeps getting picked by people who know a lot more about football than we do. He is considered also to be a very good player by the players in this country. I can state that as a fact because I know a few Players from other clubs hate playing against him
Who are these players who think he's a very good player? Who are these opposition who hate playing against him? I don't think anyone is suggesting Karl Henry is the cause of all our issues as a football club. It's just an interesting stat based on a small sample of data. What does he do well? What does he do that a younger player can't?
We would be top of the league is one thing that sickens me and it's plain stupid ... It's insulting anyone who knows anything about football and deserves strong replies Over the course of this season Henry is one player who will not be up there as a good servant he would of also earn the his wages His job on the field is do what he is told and let others play To some on here that's a passenger If only I could some of you onto a football pitch then there would be some learning We aren't top of the league because our defensive unit was poor to start and no one could glue that together with disapline We are now much more solid However still we are not a very good team in this league there are stronger formed forces but we are growing albeit in small steps This league eats itself and I said 14th until we settle and deserve points This current lot are on their way to doing that and that's all you can expect unless you are daft A win will lift the club a heavy defeat will sink us We are fragile and so Henry has to play because Sandro is possibly leaving or maybe not up to the fight Both great footballers We know face yet again new signings and departures ... Not good The likes of Burnley and Hull just need to add they are already stable Henry IMO is still the best in that position in the league plus in just one game he has looked our best right back
His mental toughest and disapline He looks weak at times because others ain't doing their jobs IMO in terms of positioning His confidence is very low I would imagine and yet when I have watched him he has done his job He is not a playmaker he is a menace and feared in football much more than the drama queen Barton who positionally is scatty as **** saying that his job at Burnley looks to have in a box and every game he looks stronger IMO We start winning I hope Henry has nothing to do because then the whole thing is working as a unit Picking him out now is daft and of course if there is a younger version as good play him but watch the negative spaces appear and the opposition suddenly look a grade or two higher If he was a passenger then JFH would not play him I wager any manager coming in would play Henry
You're so up your own arse it's untrue sometimes. Of course he's a good servant- no one else would dream of taking him off us on his wages. Maybe we are more solid now. I can't say we've looked very solid at all recently. What Henry has to do with that solidity I'm not so sure any more. No one can say he's not a trier but he just looks shot. I still don't see what he can do now that Doughty can't.
Henry is our Kante Ready for a few posts there Kante is currently the best midfielder in this country on form I can see that from France Back as I type into the madness Ffs it's cold here LH been in touch so I am meeting him next week if I get the chance I will try and tell him that could he sell Henry or shift him because we want to go down to league One please We may of course still do that with him No point is us being Top of the league now anyway you don't get promoted in January
His game is off maybe a bit but his role is the toughest by far I can tell you 100% yes he is feared in football by the players He is one nasty sod and to top it all he never gets rattled ... That is the mindset when he plays When any player gets booed after he puts in a shift and cares for the club as he does by the fans of his club of course it wobbles him I guess Yet time and time again he puts on our shirt with pride and does his job
He's incredibly well remunerated to do his job- poorly. Who are these players that fear him? What does he do that's nasty? The bloke barely even tackles any more. No pace, can't pass, can't shoot, not particularly mobile any more. What does he do? Did Diame fear him as he swatted him aside like a fly against Hull?
What do you see as the similarities between Kante and Henry? Similar wages and both have short surnames? That's about where it ends.
But you accused me of stating that as fact. I'll repeat myself: "I have just taken our points per game average with and without him starting. That is the factual part Then applying that average to 46 game season is just to apply perspective. Thought that went without saying but obviously not" His individual stats are very poor. Considering he is absolved by some from any responsibility in an attacking sense his defensive stats are very poor. Only 1.5 Interceptions a game and 1.5 tackles. Then couple that with the contrast I found in how we have done with him and without him. Was just quite a big contrast and thought it might spark some opinion on a discussion forum questioning whether it makes sense for him to start so often when there are arguably much better alternatives considering he is in such a crucial position, is he doing enough? I don't think so and the player stats and match stats correlate with that
Henry is a very limited footballer, players like him are ten a penny. I do however think it naive to lay blame for a poor season on him. He has been one of many who have not performed. Unfortunately henry , in my opinion isn't capable of a performance. I see amateur players with stacks more ability than this fella and I don't say that lightly. There are at least 5 in my local team who could do a better job or at least play to his level.
Henry is the type of player I believe sums up our footballing philosophy as a country since I've been involved in football. The dinasaurs of our game believe we need this type of player to win the ball back!! How's about we invest in not giving it away in the first place!!! EVERY footballer should have ABILITY and be ABLE TO TACKLE but most important is the ability to keep positive possesion
As you have been told many times before, if you don't add "IMO" to a statement then you are stating it as fact. Your first sentence was a prime example of this.
IMO we are a better team without Henry. That's not to say he's the only one and I'd still have him over Sandro who can only be bothered once a month.
