its a shame he hasn't got the energy of Myler or Quinn because because with his skill he would be an international, Livermore and Myler (who many on here call) deserve to keep there place ahead of Huddlestone in the team, agree we are short of pl standard forwards because if we get injuries up front we are in big trouble

I will agree to disagree then because if you thought our forward line did well today then you were watching a different game to me, every time the ball went into the last third we lost it

Yep, and no doubt many on here will say that if he did have the energy of Meyler, livermore or Quinn that he'd be playing for one of the top four teams, and that's probably true. The real issue though is his fitness, or apparent lack of it, and NOT his lack of pace as some perceive it. His apparent lack of fitness means that he currently isn't worthy of a place in our first team squad.

The difference, for me anyway, between his performances last season and this are NOT due to him losing his pace, he never had any in the first place, and that can only mean that the difference is that he is lacking fitness/munching on too many pies.

To sum up Huddlestones performance today, for me, it was as if he'd been asked to play in a reserves match after coming back from a long term injury to get some match fitness into him. He should have been one of our star larkers today, instead he just gave the impression that he couldn't be arsed!

Agreed, Meyler and Livemore in midfield, If huddlestone wants to play, he needs to work at it as they both have recently! .....think with diame and Ramirez been injured we may need to bring a few in, would sell aluko and get some money in to afford some quality in midfield, similar to diame/ramirez.....the good news is, ince looked brilliant today!

I don't get this Huddlestone is fat lark, he isn't fat, and hasn't put on anyway weight. If anything he has to much muscle and is built a lil to much. Muscle weighs more than fat after all. Hes always gonna look slow and laborious.

Its his lack of running that concerns me, like hes in a 'comfort zone'.

Look at the top Boxers in the heavier weight class, being well built does not preclude you from having good mobility.

Totally different sports, I doubt such boxers would look so mobile on a football pitch.

That fat ****er playing for Wimbledon tonight was more mobile than Huddlestone and he even scored a goal against Liverpool, Hudds needs to raise his game and he has definitely lost condition after his Christmas Holiday

Have you ever seen him play before? He's always passed it sideways. This isnt a criticism, it's just what he does in trying to recycle the ball.
