Tom Huddlestone has undergone surgery on his right ankle today, after struggling with an injury to it for most of this season.
He'll be out for 6 weeks before another consultation with specialists about his rehabilitation.
That suggests a long lay-off, unfortunately.

Was this the same problem that was troubling him last season?

I did read 'recurrence' PNP, not sure where, but rings a bell. We won't see him till the New Year by the look of things, which in a funny way leaves Sandro and Parker getting more games...not to disappointed about that...are you?

Depends on who else we've got fit, Notso.
Wouldn't like to see them playing in every single minute of every game.
Should mean a bit more time for other midfield options though, so I hope that Livermore, Kranjcar, Pienaar, Carroll, etc. are up to it.

Any news on Kranjcar?
He appears to be in the Croatia squad, despite not featuring for us for a while.

Me neither, we'll still have games where we can use 442, so one of them won't be needed. We won't see them in the Cup games, however, I think its fair to say we're in the knock-out stages of the EL, the further we go, I'm convinced Harry will strengthen the team with more first 11. Thats when we'll see if he's learnt from last season.
