He's better than Meyler, so if he got a deal then Thudds definitely should.

Meyler has been so far ahead of Huddlestone this season it's not funny.

Nah. He's one of our best players. He cost twice as much as Meyler did too.

Plus his stats on Pro evolution championship FIFA world manager are insane.

They're different kinds of midfielder. They do different jobs. Horses for courses.

It's what a 'squad' is all about.

And Hudd has no place in the first XI. If we offer him a new deal it will be on vastly reduced wages.

If you could somehow combine the two you'd have a very good player. The things that Thudd is weakest at Meyler has in abundance and vice versa. One is slow and ponderous and can't really be arsed, the other never stops. Thudd can pass a ball better than anybody in this division, Meyler couldn't find a pass if it was stapled to his arse.

Thudd passes very well but they're only effective half the time.

I think it's a fair bit more than half. Which is obviously better than the 8% Meyler manages. Meyler can tackle and finish though. Drug them both, bring their unconcious bodies to North Cave Wetlands, I've got an experimental lab set up there. Tom Meylerstone will be a revaltion for City. I'm a dab hand with a staple gun.

    Bring towels. And a funnel.

Or, if you combine the worst of both instead, Simon Walton.

Surely they are completely different types of player and cannot really be directly compared. Huddlestone is the more cultured player whilst Meyler is an absolute grafter.

It's like comparing Ashbee with Koren.

Interesting wonder how SB will react to the article, maybe wrong here but didn't Davies end up on the naughty step for something similar.

There's another article in the Mirror regarding Huddlestone. They've probably taken it from the blog knowing how lazy journo's are. It was in the Sky Sports news round up.

Hmmm, this has got to rock the boat. If we've offered something and he's denying it that's a bad sign, unless his agent hasnt told him we offered something.
