No, I was watching on QPR +. Looking at our goals again for the first MaCallum's cross
looked aimed at Thomas who seemed to fall over a challenge from a defender and the ball deflected off one of the 2 into Amos's path. For our 2nd a defender under pressure from Dykes I think could only head Moses cross weakly out to Chair.

    .
Just someone was saying their goals resulted from our defensive errors. Certainly true of their first, their 2nd was a good goal though helped by MaCallum not closing down their man who put in the great cross quick enough. Our goals were also helped by their errors defending crosses especially Chairs goal.

Also helped by Field not tracking his man back and thus allowing him a free header.

Field was one of three on the edge of the box trying to mark four of theirs. The man with the free header was not necessarily his man. Poor defending, but not just down to Field.

Im sitting on the fence. The game is modernising at an ever increasing pace and whether Warbles is open to that, i do not know.

I'm sorry, but Clive really has got rose tinted glasses on where Warburton is concerned.
Clive says Warburton has admitted his mistakes.
Can anyone find me a link to him saying that?

Whenever I’ve heard him talk it’s been mostly “we”, or “the players and the staff” (could have done better; didn’t perform well this week etc. etc.). He seems to have more of a group/team mentality when it comes to responsibility.

When things go well he doesn’t go “me” this or “me” that - he talks about individuals and the team doing the right things, having the right attitude.

It’s a fine line to allocate responsibility and keep a strong team. Players will know whenever done poorly, but rarely do they take ownership of it. I like that our team has, mostly, shown a strong team spirit and when talking over poor performances it has been a “we” mentality. And to be fair he has dealt firmly with players who have upset the squad - you don’t see that often these days.

    We’re stronger together.

    I agree.
    However, these are all generalisations.

I'm talking about his specific mistakes like playing Willock at left wing back; playing without a striker; playing Willock as a main striker which isn't his position either, ditching the two tens when we were free scoring, making odd substitutions etc etc.

Anyway, I think we realise we're not changing each other's minds.

Let's hope for three points today.
Who knows, win all our remaining games and there's an outside chance of finishing 6th.

Absolutely this. I have noticed this throughout his time with us. I've always had the impression the team spirit is strong. Warburton goes out of his way to applaud the players and the fans at the end of games, and as you say he came down very hard on Kane when he made those comments about a fellow player. Sent him to Coventry twice! Some have wondered if he and Austin have some problem after Austin sat in an empty stand for 10 minutes or so after being subbed in a Cup game. I didn't see much in that, but he's not played much since, so perhaps or perhaps not, may just be his lack of fitness. I'm hoping Austin gets more time against Derby as he did look slimmer and sharper when he came on Friday, and Dykes hasn't been scoring or creating too much since his injury. But don't see other signs of lack of togeherness in the "dressing room".

Maybe he didn't see them as mistakes, but as necessary solutions to the lack of LWB's and strikers in those games. I thought Willock did great at WB, created a lot from there too even though it's not his best position. I don't agree with his every selection or sub but he'll know more than you or me.
