QUEENS Park Rangers will look to end a difficult week on a high as we head up to west Yorkshire to face high-flying Huddersfield Town at the John Smith’s Stadium.

The Terriers are the early surprise package of the season, topping the Championship table with 16 points but did taste defeat last time out away at Brighton.

Managed by the enigmatic David Wagner, Huddersfield have been a breath of fresh air this season, defeating both Newcastle and Leeds away from home as well as victories over Brentford and Wolves.

Wagner’s men are now a well-established team in this division, enjoying their 5th season as a Championship side following promotion via the Play-Offs in 2011/2012. Most of the last four campaigns have involved competing at the bottom of the table but there is optimism around west Yorkshire that they can build on their fine start to the season.

They were extremely active during the last transfer window bringing in no less than 13 players including record signing TSV 1860 Munich captain Christopher Schindler who was identified as a replacement for Joel Lynch.

Wagner has brought the 'gegenpressing' style of play to Huddersfield. Made famous by his mentor in Germany Jurgen Klopp, the approach involves winning the ball back within five seconds of losing it and is seen as a high-risk but rewarding style of play.

TEAM NEWS

QPR: Defender James Perch will have a scan to discover the extent of his leg injury after coming off early against Newcastle during the week. The game is also expected to come too soon for Seb Polter. However Massimo Luongo is now available following his illness and will be included in the squad. Jack Robinson, Ben Gladwin and Jamie Mackie remain on the side-lines.

Huddersfield: Wingers Joe Lolley and Sean Scannell are both doubts for Town. Lolley picked up a leg injury in Town’s 1-1 draw with Aston Villa while Sean Scannell has a hip problem.

Key Player: Rajiv van La Parra – The former Holland youth international can be a tricky customer on the wings and is now beginning to find his feet at this level.

David Wagner: “QPR’s last result is irrelevant. This doesn't help us; it's in the past. We prepare our team for a new game on Saturday. Tuesday did not change our confidence, self-belief or what we are doing. We respect QPR but focus on ourselves.”

QPR mad Denise from Ruislip is heading up to West Yorkshire to watch the hoops try and get back to winning ways.

Nothing to inspire any confidence and I'd take your hand off if offered a draw. Several pundits have stated that Mooy is the best midfielder in the Championship, he must be looking forward to our visit on Tuesday's evidence. If we give him the room Shelvey had it'll be over before half-time...

If we get a draw I'll be over the moon. I am in a box with 8 HTFC fans who I have never met! If we WIN, I'll keep me nut down.

Reckon we'll park the bus and lose by one or two. Rather than predict the score, how many shots on target will we get?

9's thanks again for your time doing these top quality match threads. I bet you often wonder why you bother with how things are.

Come on rangers!

We will win again, don't know where, don't know when, but I know we can win again some sunny day....

Sorry, just trying and most likely failing to lift the spirit's...
