You just know the ****s going to use the word jaded in his list of excuses.

Who's fault is That? He f**ked about too much as usual

Jesus Christ all this **** needs to do is find a formation that works and let the players gel and grow into their roles

He f**ks about more than tiger woods on viagra

For the love of Christ f**k off pardew.

Interesting workout, baffling decision to go with 4-4-2. Some Pardew-esque substitutions - Two wingers came on, when surely if going 4-4-2 two wingers should have started? And once he brought two wingers on, he brought off the player most likely to benefit from crosses and resorted to 4-5-1-ish.

I know it's pre-season, please dont vilify me for being overly-negative, but I have this funny feeling in the pit of my tummy that Pardew will be sacked on the back of a disastrous start. It's just the way he doesn't seem to have a proper game plan, ever.

He HAS to be bricking it. His excuses will only go so far after the business this summer and the faith place in him after 'butt-gate'.

Worry for me is I really would sooner keep Pardew over the staggering dross we'll inevitably replace him with. Then we are up the creek as the next joker will likely get a long, safe contract too!

Or nobody will be dumb enough and Uncle Joe will roll up.

Alright guys, your spy in the North West here. Just got back from the game (yeah I only live about 20 miles away). A decent evening out and a good crowd at the game, the announcer reckoned about 1400 Geordies and a crowd of about 5000 altogether. Cracking support for a Tuesday evening friendly. Only complaint with the crowd is the boneheads who continue to chant for Hatem Ben Arfa- another reason he needs to go, like yesterday.

    <ok>

Observations from where I was sat:

A bit ring rusty still, especially Sissoko, who looked poor most of the game and was at fault for their second.

They did boss sections of the game, but we showed neat interplay. Our first goal was a well worked team display with Cabella combining well with Janmaat before a cross was pinged in.

Janmaat looked decent on first showing, pretty solid.

Williamson was a rock again. No coincidence we looked much shakier once Saylor came on.

Ferrerya looked pants today, but given hes probably barely trained with his new team mates we'll let him off.

Riviere impressed me again. Strong, unselfish, worked all over the pitch, and another goal.

Cabella switched around both wings and the 10 position. It seems Pards has given him a licence to roam. He looked fairly good but I think he will be excellent once he gets up to speed with the English game.

Overall, a draw was a fair result. I don't know what everyone on here is getting so worked up about, we played ok and got a good workout from the game. Some people on here need to chill the **** out.

This is where the usually comes into play

It did amuse me that we went 2 1 down 30 seconds after that post though.

I agree reference Ben Arfa... on, off the pitch and also now on the terraces he continues to be an issue.

Cheers fred, good to hear something about the game. And yeah some of our fans are getting carried away with what are practically meaningless friendlies again, I don't go on twitter but apparently the nonsense on there was in overdrive. Suppose its tradition now eh
