This match represents another great chance to get back to winning ways, as the boys in Yellow did after their shock defeat to Wigan a few weeks ago. Derby match Highlights: Huddersfield come into this game having halted a 3 match losing streak with a draw vs Birmingham, the game also ending 1-1. The Terriers are currently 9 points and 4 places clear of 3rd from bottom Wigan but Manager Chris Powell will not be resting on his laurels, as the Latics have come into a bit of form. It seems there are no new injury concerns for the Norwich boss, with Alex Tettey shaking off his clash of heads and being ready again for the trip. Ryan Bennett is getting closer to full fitness and may be on the bench. Jamar Loza is expected to travel down with the rest of the squad. Huddersfield on the other hand may have a few key players missing, none more so than Harry Bunn, who has had a decent season for the West-Yorkshire Men. They will also be missing Left Back Jack Robinson and top scorer Nahki Wells. Pre-Match Interviews: Norwich manager Alex Neil: (Can't find one for Powell so here's the 5-0 from earlier in the season!) Current Form: Norwich - W-W-W-L-W-D Huddersfield - D-W-L-L-L-D Head-to-Head: There have been a total of 39 matches between these 2 sides, 19 at Huddersfield, 20 at Norwich. Norwich currently hold the slight upper hand with 13 wins to Huddersfield's 10. there have been 16 draws. Huddersfield hold the slight advantage on their own ground with 5 wins to 4, though again, draws come out on top with 10 ending in stale mates. Norwich ran out very comfortable winners in the reverse fixture earlier in the season, thumping 5 past a sorry opposition in a whirlwind second half performance that over shadowed Grant Holt's return. Highest Norwich score Norwich City 5-0 Huddersfield Town Highest Huddersfield score Huddersfield Town 3-2 Norwich City Highest Aggregate score (6) Huddersfield Town 2-4 Norwich City Current Connections There are currently 2 players playing for Huddersfield who we're Canary players in recent history James Vaughan Moved to the Terriers in 2013 after an initial loan period Jacob Butterfield joined the Terriers in 2014 having left Norwich in 2013, though he never played a league match for Norwich Grant Holt The Legendary Norwich striker joined Huddersfield on loan from Wigan though suffered an injury and returned to Wigan after only 15 games. I'm not sure where to look for previous connections so that's your lot! Not quite as comprehensive as a KIO thread but certainly catches the feel of them! I'm quite happy with it overall!
Nice work . Ruddy will be kean to erase Saturdays balls up and I expect us to win, as KIO isn't doing the thread I am not so confident. please log in to view this image
Excellent cotb and didn't realise it wasn't one of KIO's matchday threads!!!! Hoping we bolster our GD tonight. On the evidence of Saturday, I would fancy Derby to drop points tonight, but a draw would be a great result!!!! PS - pleased to see Josh has gone on loan to Wigan and hopefully, he'll get some game time (and some great goals - especially tonight!!!)
Great thread Colk and SN23, I think we've proved beyond doubt, there was no Ruddy balls up, it was a cheating Derby bastard!
Where's robbieBB these days? I have a completely useless stat for him - and the rest of us OptaJoe @OptaJoe 1 - Wes Hoolahan is the only Irish player to score in the PL on St. Patrick's Day (for Norwich vs Sunderland in 2013). Emerald.
That was not actually in dispute. I think the Irish connection on March 17th is more the reason Opta Joe have regurgitated this. Another one tonight would be cool, Wes
With my glass half empty can I please just say that if results go agin us tonight we could be 6 points off 2nd spot with just 8 games left with no real chance of auto promotion On the other hand, if results go our way (unlikely considering the fixtures), we could be sitting in 2nd place come 10:00PM ................. this season is doing my head in
They are a pain to make, I feel for you KIO. Lots of back and forth between tabs! Dunno if I'll be doing them every time as I'm likely to forget but don't hesitate to ask if you're too busy/Can't be arsed! I'm currently between jobs so time isn't such an issue. Thanks for the kind words chaps! Hopefully my 5-0 prediction in the CPL follows now. If we lose I'll know I'm cursed and have to pass it over to someone else!
I'm going for 1-1 lads, sorry but after tonight I think it's the play-offs for us. Watford are like a steam train and Bournemouth seem to have got through their bad patch and those two will make the autos IMO
I'll blame you if we don't win as well KIO we don't seem to win when you don't do the match thread I feel a win is a must tonight and I'm quite hopeful. 3-1 City. COYY
