I need a ticket for a lad who's been let down. He's going anyway so can take one right up to kick off. Thanks for any help .
Great thread RTB!!! Only change I would make to your starting 11 is Rigg in place of Jobe. Bring Jobe off the bench around 60 mins if needed. I’m going for out stock 3 - 1 win. Goals from Rusyn, George Best sorry Jack Clarke and Ballard. HTL!!!!!
We probably have to manage jobe carefully and balance what he/family wants with what’s good for the team, there’s no getting away he’s a massive asset for us so we need to keep him inside. I think Jobe will start tomorrow
I think Jobe n Rigg might start, just a gut feeling i have. 2 away games in under 72 hrs means we will need to rotate it. So wont be surprised if Ba n Ekwah are on the bench then start against Birmingham I think mundle n roberts will take game about as well, i think roberts starts tomorrow n mundle on sat
There's a lot been said about him being contracted to play every game which I don't actually believe. It seems like just another easy dig at the club. But let's say it's true for a moment. Speakman has persuaded him to choose Sunderland and he's come here for peanuts. I doubt many PL clubs would've turned him away tbh so we have an outstanding player we could now sell for ten times the outlay. He's clearly liked by the other players, is improving rapidly and is bringing a lot of media attention ... ... how likely it is that his brother will be there on Saturday, Jobe will start imo So rather than see it as the club having their pants pulled down I'd rather see it as a smart bit of business halfway through our journey to the PL. It's the same with Rigg, Bennette, Aouchiche, Pembele, etc ... with a few injuries back like Cirkin, Huggins, Alese, plus a couple of summer signings, we could have a squad nailed on for the top six, even if Clarke left imo. In any case, as I said, I don't believe the Bellingham clan would insist on a young lad going through a whole Championship season, they know football. He was rested last week and, as the season gets to the tough period, I think he will be again, with others. If it's a choice between the next two games I think he'd definitely want to play against Birmingham. I don't think we'll see too many calls for Neil and Clarke to be given a break though.
When jobe came on against Plymouth he has brilliant. We had much more control in midfield and Neil instantly had room.
I think Evans will start a game at some point ... ... I know many say he's played his last game but I think he might even be here next season.
Cheers as always RTB love the match day thread well I hope Rusyn starts he needs a run of games to get the lads to get used to his runs hopefully we can come out on top and grab the 3 points don’t think it’s gona be as easy as some folk think but I’ll go 2-1 to the lads COME ON
Up Scotland all week working so gutted I’ll miss out. Hoping the lads have a good trip and bring 3 points home! I’d be gutted if we didn’t win here. Need to start stringing wins together if we wanna make the play-offs.
Anything Southampton can do we can do better. 3-6 to the cuddlies. JC x 2, Rusyn, O9, Ecky thump and Ba. There current form isnt to bad and I think they will go for it. Haha mistake Huddersfield. Will suit us perfectly and with the confidence in the squad they all want the ball. That is a good thing. Cheers RTB once again.
Not a bad press conference. Well, thought out answers and not sounding like he's talking with his head up his backside - they seem to be becoming the norm from his initial ones. I like the sound of making the opposition worry about our attacking players and making them score different types of goals - the likes of Clarke and Roberts coming in at the back post make a lot of sense and kinda hark back to the good old days! I going to go for a cagey, tight win for us
these are must win games (and Birmingham) if we want to make the top 6, very tough game though but they attack and we counter attack so should be a cracker, is it on SKY ?.
Birmingham aren't as good as Sunderland so no reason we can't win ... ... I hope Mowbray does 'take the game to us' as he's suggesting.
