How about playing Carrick? Carrick used to boss games like this. Keep it simple, recycle...let the forwards do their job.
we need more attacking minded players yet we still have Herrera and Matic playing despite 2 goal down JM need to show some balls and attack with braveness
JM is an idiot .. we need someone like Martial to penetrate .. instead we face defensive wall and give ball back instead of going forward
Mata and Mkhitaryan are creative creativitiy will not work facing compact side who parked the bus we don't have direct players who penetrate we have only 2 martial and Rashford ... and he had to play only one of them !!!!
Our worst enemy - complacency. We need to set out each game to smash the opponent rather than 'manage' games. This is what happens when we don't take the opposition seriously.
good for Huddersfield.. they totally deserve it JM even with 2-0 didn't gamble leaving Herrera and Matic slow tempo .. no penetration .. too many back passes .. not a champion performance JM had no balls to even make changes at first half when 2-0 down
We now realise that united are far away from the finished article. It is ironic that fans have been dismissing previous defensive display and valueing only all out attacking free scoring play. What undid United today? ****ty defensive mistakes which got us in the back foot before we could even get out of second gear. United misssed Bailly, Jones, Pogba today. Could united have done with the unloved Fellaini? I did think that our squad players should easily have dispatched Huddersfield but that was not taking into account the injury to Jones and the incompetence of Lindelof.
Were we ****? I was gluttoning and boozing at a shmancy golf club. The dessert wine sent me over the edge.
I don't think Herrera and Mata are dependable as first team players. As for "overrated" Pogba, we lack dynamism going forward without him. He is our only completed player. Bailly's composure in defense which helps the link-up play with the midfield tremendously. We don't have anyone else like him in the squad. I've always said Fellaini is a massive player in the squad as he always makes his presence known which more than makes up for his other deficiencies. We clearly missed our first team players today. But hey, that's what the league is about. You won't go 38 games unbeaten. So let's not overreact and take this one on the chin with the hope that our good injured players start making return to the squad to give us creativity. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Our form is pretty much self fulfilling for me. Since the Liverpool game, we've been ****. We were negative and rubbish against Liverpool, poor against Benfica and clearly **** again today. The way we played knocked us out of our momentum, we played our way into dross form. All because we didn't take ****ing Liverpool on! Not sure how that side can been deemed squad players. Bar Lindeloff, who is patently not good enough, the rest form part of the first team in rotation. Injuries are no excuse for today.
Hey, at least we gave the scouse support a boost today. They are safe from going bottom half for another week and the team they write about most got beat. Great weekend for them.
