Seldom strongly disagree with you OLOF but don't think you could blame the ref, Doukarra or Vieira today, just one of those days and it hurt.

If Monk gets it right, I'd make a battle cry of this and look at the next 10 games and say, by April we could be right in this. Would sooner be looking at going top in April rather than August

 

Suppose I can't get too upset. Beaten by 1 goal in an away derby by an in-form team, plus a poor ref. We've been harder done to in the past. Draw would have been fair IMO, but life doesn't do fair, sadly.

As for the meleé, Wagner should get a stadium ban. He invaded the pitch and had no business being there, same as any supporter. It's the law, not an opinion.

If the law fails in it's duty (which it will), then the EFL should hit him with a 'disrepute' charge, not only for the pitch invasion, but leaving his technical area & twice invading the Leeds technical area, almost causing a riot. Should be banned from the touchline for a year, minimum, for the compound charge. Will probably get fined a fiver & Monk will be banned from the touchline for 10 years. Leeds to get -15 points for each of those 10 years.

I'm tempted to report Wagner to the police, but don't see the point. I actually did it a few years ago. Think it was Pardew punching someone, so I reported him. No action taken! Now if that had been a fan! Duncan Fergusson got 6 months for less in Scotland.

As for the game, I find it hard to assess on the telly, but I left the pub with the view that we spent too much time putting balls up the middle, usually in the air a lot, and often put there by Green. Did I get the wrong impression? We seemed to starve our wingers, or was it them stifling our wing play (where most of our outfield goals come from)? It raises the question - are we a one-trick pony whose tactic can be stifled by a reasonably clever opposition?
