I shouldn't work from memory, my amber tinted spec's have rather overstated the averages, but 36,763 in the third tier in 1949 is still pretty impressive, as is 37,319 in the second tier the following season(it was only for the two seasons after relegation back to the third tier that they dropped to 11-12,000).
