Trust me, we play the ball over the top to him so much.

His first touch is akin to that of a rapist He never controls it and it runs harmlessly to the goalkeeper every time.

He has no strength for a big man and he isn't as fast as people make him out to be.

He can't head the ball and his shooting is atrocious.

I really can't see what makes him worthy of a starting spot in any championship side, especially for the money he asks for.

He may well have 'done a Torres' and his move to us has ruined him, because he's nothing like the player you claim him to be and that's taking the league jump into consideration.

Well it sounds like the Leeds fans want him back so let's give them what they want! Two managers have given Beckford every chance to prove himself and he's failed. Sven took a massive gamble on him, and, let's face it, the flop of Beckford and Mills cost Sven his job. It's also clear Everton had no qualms about getting rid either. Let's face it, he's only been a success for Leeds in League One. Going back to Leeds, with a ready made fan following, may be good for him, which in turn would be good for Leeds and we can sign someone better. So it seems like a win-win all around. Let's hope it happens...

Beckford's pace is very over rated. Matty Fryatt is by no means quick but in League 1 he was one of the fastest strikers in the league

Nugent, Waghorn and Vardy are all faster than Beckford.

I think good timing is a better attribute than sheer pace eg Nuge he ain't the quickest but his timing is spot on !

I think Beckford would prefer to go to Leeds than Uddersfield....

Leeds would (stupidly) pay him higher wages so this IMO is true.

You seem to forget Leeds' past reputation for spending money they don't have... ;)

Though under Bates, it's at the complete other end of the spectrum with no money spent <laugh>

They have passed the football league teat, as made by Ken Bates, only has 2 questions:

    1. If the club isn't making a profit what do you do?
    2. If the club is making a profit what do you do?

Both answers are "keep increasing ticket prices and overcharge the fans"

To be fair, he scored 10 goals in his first and only premier league season and thats not even taking into account that he wasnt exactly in the first team so I'd call that a success. And Everton wanted rid because they have always accepted money for any player they have regardless, they are selling club really and 2m (i did think it was considerably more than that but I'm going on whta you guys have sadi) for a player they payed nothing for is decent. Leicester hasn't worked out for him but he still has a hell of a lot to offer at this level, and I still think he's your best striker. Nigel doesn't like his style of play though imo

    In your opinion ofcourse.

I have always though Nugent offers workrate but very little else and this has always been my view before he went to Leicester as well

13 goals as a winger the season before with Pompey and his last in the Championship was 15 with PNE.

We knew he could contribute 10+ goals a season and could play anywhere up front on a free. Who passes up that opportunity? Not even taking into account his work rate and all round play.

Give the opposition the ball and Nugent can get you a corner out of nothing, defends from the front, part of the reason we have let in so few goals too.

Id much rather him than Beckford, no point in scoring more goals when their defence have too much time to pick the perfect pass to score themselves.

And you point is? I have said from the start Nugent is better. I stand by my comments about Fryatt. You have to remember I have seen a hell of alot more of Matty Fryatt then you

On Beckford. 15 goals was a decent total for half a season. They are his agents comments not mine and yeah the more strikers we have the more I fancy our chances.

Do you want me to dig out some of your comments about Nigel isnt coming here and he has told the Hull players he doesnt want to leave and he isnt interested in what we have to say?
