I did wonder about that. Alternatively, maybe it's the Cosworth engine? Only Marussia and HRT are running the Cosworth, and we've not seen any laps from the Marussia yet. Whilst I'd have thought the engine note would have been recognisable from last year as engine development is frozen, maybe they've got an odd exhaust?
