McClaren will give every one of them a chance, he'll end up hanging the completely useless ones out to dry, he'll probably know who one or two of these are by the end of your U.S. Tour then instruct your DOF to get rid, possibly use some as make weights for Championship additions he's got on his mind.

When he was at his best (which hasn't been for quite a while now though) you happily accept someone in your team that everyone else hates. They often aren't the best players but they add something that disrupts the opposition and takes the momentum away from them, making it difficult to build moves. They are almost anti-footballers the way they negate skill and quality. It's been a few seasons since he did that with any success. Other team's fan's hate it cos it's almost anti-football. Look at the way he destroyed Rooney a few seasons back. You had a better team by far but he took out the lynch pin for most of your moves that night. I hesitate to compare him to Keane (cos for the same reasons as above I hated Keane long before he was the mackems manager) but there are similarities in the way that he was popular at one club while being universally disliked elsewhere. If SM can get him back to his best then he will be hated far more by other teams and loved by us again.

 

I've been one of his biggest fans outside of Newcastle mate, but I wasn't referring to his levels on the pitch. Off the pitch he donned an Arsenal shirt and called Newcastle a '**** club' iirc. That sort of behaviour shouldn't be tolerated, you pay his wages, I'd have the dirty bastard cleaning the toilet in the stadium after every match. Then shoot him.

 

Don't disagree with any of that bit. Not sure how much of it was playing to the gallery of the ashley-out brigade, but whatever the reasons it was out of order.

 

Well not everybody has to get on with their boss, but there's a line that shouldn't be crossed, my guess is that he had no trouble smiling at his bank balance when his wages were transferred that month.
