A bit contradictory Josh. Do you think he would have given up the opportunity to play prem football if he'd have offered him 80k a week ? or would he say no, i want premier league football, money doesn't matter?
For me the good old days were Dons time, followed by the Wilko period and to a certain extent the O'Leary time. I've no doubt, the huge debt we incurred was manageable if the money borrowed was done so in a proper manner originally. Newcastle are a perfect example. They were relegated with similar debts and ridiculous salaries like us. They also looked for a buyer but failed like us. Main difference Ashley kept a squad together that was able to run away with promotion, starting with keeping an excellent manager at the time. What did we do, a car boot sale
yea I suppose it is a little contradictory. a big amount of money could have probably kept him but wouldn't be worth it at that stage. He was more interested in the prem it looks like
I rarely complain, I support my club. I don't give a **** about the board. Like you, I'm over 40 years supporting this club, I've been travelling over since 1979 and I go every season, all my boys are Leeds and they travel over home and sometimes away. I'm sick of the bitching between supporters, **** bates, support your club. **** howson too.
Spot on. Howson's gone now, as far as I'm concerned he's a Norwich player, a team I don't give a **** about. Only time I'll worry about him is if he plays against us. As for Bates, now there's an issue!!
