Anderson and Minteh are better players than players starting and getting game time here. They were players other clubs wanted
Always a market for young players that have shown potential. Anderson was 7th choice man. Let that sink in. 7th choice that dropped behind a 17 year old in the pecking order. Minteh hadn’t played and I doubt would have played this season.
They're top 4 he's a bairn...we play Barnes rw he's no good there .. Murphy and almiron aren't as good.
He wasn't 7th choice he was playing games. Like Hall people are too quick to underestimate players a manager is holding back for development or other reasons that aren't down to ability. They're both very good players with bright futures guys.
I wasn’t saying it to be doom-mongering. They were just examples of players we could be using right now to change things up. Given the right wing experiments it’s pretty clear Minteh would be in and around the starting XI. In a 4231 Anderson would have been a good shout for the 10 role. Selling them was clearly not Howes idea either.
I absolutely agree Anderson was playing well for us and has been one of forest's best players this season and Minteh has had good games at Brighton who're flying. Andersons now at the age where you'd expect to see what we're seeing now, but Minteh is a few years off that. Newcastle had to sell them and the other option was selling Gordon.. if they had offers for Longstaff and Murphy for the money needed we all know who'd they've have sold, so definitely not on Howe. While I'm fully aware PSR is an issue it doesn't excuse a manager and a coaching team not getting a shot at goal out of a side worth half a billion pounds though.
Bruno, Sandro, Joelinton, Willock, Longstaff, Miley - All ahead of him for cm role. That makes him 7th doesn’t it?
I'd make a case Anderson is playing better than all of them and I always have and always will maintain he's a better player than Longstaff. Actually Tonali is the only I've seen play well this sesson for a full match. Maybe Joelinton who the managers moved out wide and he's been ****e again.. goal excluded.
I was going to say he was being used a general dogsbody which he actually did quite well, but he's definitely better in a more forward area. He's doing well in the Premier league regularly now and our lot aren't.
Hopefully they'll get an offer for Barnes and maybe get something for Murphy Longstaff and Almiron. if they bought 2 cbs and a proper creative central midfielder that's a bit mobile on the ball I think we'll kick on. The notion it's all about rw for me is wrong and I don't think it would change anything significantly.
