Howard Webb the referee players must love because his philosophy revolves around keeping his cards in his pocket and being friendly with them.. don't know how 5 or 6 of their players didn't go in the book to be honest. I suspect they would have been with another ref, it was obvious that their tactic was to break up our play with hard tackles etc, which Webb did nothing to stop really by keeping his cards away.
Ref was a prima donna today. If there bloke fell over why did Quinn stop? It thget didnt get a fiurst half penalty why didnt he book the dive? He did not over rule the lino.she did not know which way to give it so signalled with her flag straight up that the ball was out of play and then left the poser to decide. He did not pick up one of Huddersfields raised arms. Meyler took one on the head in the south west corner in second half.Bruce needed attention after been struck on the head by a raised elbow. We will see how "great" he is when his report rescinds his rash red card when he sees the evidence presented to him...don't hold your breath though. The guy loves himself too much.
It was two-footed and completely off the ground but he didn't touch the man or ball so I think he was right to book him for diving in but since he didn't actually touch him it'd have been harsh to send him off. I imagine that's what Webb thought at the time. Augusta - That's a strong view but just regarding the Meyler thing that was right in front of me and was nothing more than a clash of heads which he totally over-reacted to. He wasn't hurt at all and should really have been going after the ball that was still his to win in a good position but started feeling his nose instead. Pissed me right off. If anyone's a poser it's Meyler, he seems to aware that people are watching him and always playing to the crowd rather than playing the game. Good player of course but he just pisses me off a bit.
