    My favourite was the goal kick he gave after the Arsenal keeper got BOTH hands on the ball.

    Howard Webb has been pants since he was at the World Cup. Too big for his boots now.

    I like the young ref Michael Oliver. He stays calm and is assertive without being showy and arrogant like some others I could name. Trouble is he is from Ashington so will never be allowed to referee us or Newcastle. :(

    I think Lee Mason, Alan Wiley and Chris Foy are probably the best of a bad bunch.

    Arsenal are coming to us on the back of a ECL so maybe there will be role reversal of the teams fitness/tiredness towards the end of the game.

    I’ve always believed that one game never makes a season.
    If we were to win, the buzz generated from it would install such an unbelievable self-belief in the squad that they're capable of rolling any team anywhere.
    Now that would be worth the win alone!

    I've never been one to put the cart before the horse so to speak so I'd prefer our transformation under MoN to continue gradually.
    Next year for the cups just fine by me
