Scully, he may have missed the last bit, which was the most important part of your message.

We are entitled to our celebrations tonight <bubbly> after all the nonsense created by some remoaners. Tomorrow we can all be mates. :emoticon-0148-yes:

Do you really think that tomorrow it is all over? I wonder how long it will be before you start whinging that the EU will not give you everything you want?

I expect the terrified EU to play hardball. The difference now is they are up against a united UK government with firm red lines. We will not be dominated by the EU anymore. The UK will not be subject to the ECJ court. The UK will diverge from EU standards even if it means no deal or the introduction of tariffs.

Whinging has been confined to the well and truly defeated remoaners, it is in their DNA.

The EU will simply make it clear that you cannot leave the club and hold onto all the good bits of membership such as frictionless access to it's markets, without adhering to some standards. It also makes little difference whether you have tariffs or not because the collateral damage to Britain's reputation has been done already - if the same product, or service, is possible from another EU country then they will buy there instead. Just like the millions of EU tourists who, unsure of their welcome and reluctant to go to the trouble of getting a passport for a short visit, will just take their money somewhere else. You may rabbit on about the EU bullying Britain but they will just do what they have to - namely reassure the UK that it cannot just cherry pick.

The UK does not want to cherry pick, listen to Boris. The UK has a bright future the record visitor numbers will keep on rising. It is France and Germany that is stuck in a low growth cycle.

The first bottle of bubbly has just been opened, there are several more to last until 11.00 pm <bubbly><bubbly><bubbly><bubbly><bubbly><party>

French, nice to drink before the price rockets in 2021. <bubbly><bubbly><bubbly>

The English sparking wine industry is set for a massive boost.

I was given two bottles of English sparkling wine. It is dreadful, half of the first one went down the drain, and the second bottle is likely to remain unopened.
