    And how many teams have? Holland have never won the world cup, only France, Germany, Italy and Spain have won the Euro's and the World Cup. Not quite matching the elite nations doesn't automatically mean we're ****, there are more than 2 different levels a football team can be on you know. Say that traditionally makes us the 5th/6th best European team, how many South American teams can realistically match that level? Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay at a push. We're either the best team in the world or the worst, people seem unable to realise it's possible to be somewhere in between.

    Fair comment Simon about other nations not winning championship but I definitely know were not the best in the world despite FIFA and their pony world rankings having us a high as 4th a year or so ago! <doh>

    I'd say were at the very best about 10th in the world behind Spain, Holland, Brazil, Argentina, Portugal, Germany, Italy, Uruguay & France - not the official latest top 10 in order btw as below,

    So about 7th at best in Europe <ok>

    Portugal are in no way better than us, and Italy finished bottom of their WC group and just lost 3-0 to Russia. People seem to think England are the onoly team that ever have any problems.

    I have no interest in Engerland, so I wish them all the success their ability deserves. As long as Russia wins I don't really care.
