My first game was in 1993 against Coventry we won 5-1 and Peter Ndlovu scored for Coventry which is weird because when I moved to South Africa in 2005 my first game was Orlando Pirates v Sundowns and Peter Ndlovu scored in that game as well...freaky

We beat Hull 4 - 1 on Monday Night Football (!) a few days before I was born and won 3 - 0 at Bradford Park Avenue the day after. Heady days indeed!
All I shall say is...we were at a low below which - no doubt thanks to my invaluable support - we have never since descended.
I was born on 7th November 1967 - and it appears a few days later on the 11th we lost 3-1 away to Carlisle in Division Two. But we got promoted as runners up
Another June arrival (seem to be a high proportion of us here!) Finished 11th in old D1......and Chelsea were relegated! I'll take that. One thing that stands out is how competitive the leagues were then compared to now.

Dec 16th 1953 - after losing at home 1-0 to Bristol City, followed by an awful Christmas Day performance at Colchester, losing 5-0, despite no doubt being thrilled to have a future R in his midst, I bet the turkey didn't go down too well for my poor Dad! The team likely got a good kick in the pants after that dismal showing and at least we smartened up Boxing Day with a 0-0 draw, again against Colchester at Loftus Road. A nice 3-1 hammering to the R'sss at Portsmouth in Div 2 (13/9/69). Wish it could have been the same for my first game on the 7th of May 1979 a 3-1 loss to Birmingham. Stood under the floodlight with my Dad in the loft (priceless memories).
