How to protest...............

On the alternative forum there's comments suggesting ways of protesting against the board
at the first matches of next season.
All sorts have been put forward.
The most 'doable' to me seems to be to boycott the friendlies. The board will ride out chanting,
banners etc; and pitch invasions only harm the club as a whole.
But only 500 attending the friendly v Coventry would send a message!?

Boycott the friendlies maybe but protest that will just make things on the field even more difficult the way we're going we will end up like Stockport
 
Whatever form the protesting takes, it's essential that it is clearly directed against the board and not DC and the players.

The team will need all the support they can get to pull us out of this **** situation.

The club wants us to follow them on Twitter - how about a Twitter-based anti-board campaign. And at the ground, how about an organised, focussed protest from below up to the Director's box?
 
for me personally i would not do anything songs or chants to the board while the team is on the pitch. dont think they need the distractions. for me during the 90 mins i think we should make it clear we are behind DC and the players with songs/chants aimed at them and be the 12th man that we all know we can be.

but if a protest is to be done during the game then i think the newcastle protest worked well last home game of the season where at a certain part of the game a hell of a lot of fans got up and walked out. that looked effective. maybe turn our backs and face the opposite way to the pitch. still be vocal to the players to support them but just not watch the game.


but i think its best to do any protest before the game or a full 15 minute chant at half time, or after the game. applaude the players off the pitch so they know we are behind them but no fan leaves. we stay in our positions for half an hour or an hour just singing or chanting at the board?? seems the best way if a protest is on a match day.

How about everyone wearing yellow or some other colour? Create some sort of brand identity for "Board Out". It could be quite subtle, but clearly visible and would show the board just how many people are behind the campaign, but without affecting the players on the pitch. I for one hate the sort of toxic atmosphere that was created when Penny and Buckle were at the Mem.

Boycotting games ultimately affects the players too by making the atmosphere flat and generating less money for the club.

Hello Gasheads !

I'm a new poster - Mark.

I've supported The Gas for over forty years and am sick and angry about our demise especially the last four years. So along with a small number of like-minded Gasheads we have formed a group to demand a Q & A event with The Board asap. We are also in contact with another group. A letter has gone to the club, Bristol Post and Radio Bris.
I can confirm that Radiio Bris (Geoff himself) have shown interest in hosting this event at the ground.

thats the fear in this! but can things at our club get worse? obviously it always seems to do so.
 
Could we take over Cheltenham? Do an MK Dons franchise? Not moral, fair or popular, but it worked for the MK Dons... only a thought!
