Your being naive, any player that goes against Fergies wishes gets shipped out pronto,so the kid cant do jack except accept what his club manager said.

  2. I'm sure there would be plenty of clubs willing to sign him up and he would get more game time else where too. As I said, if he really wanted to go then he would. Whether he likes the decision or not, I bet Fergie still gets the best out of him come next season. If Hernandez takes the hump and doesn't perform, he will be out anyway.

As i said, fair play to Man Utd and Fergie for digging their heals in, they are in a position to be able to manipulate players like this and they will get the benefit of Javier not going.

The kid loves playing for Utd so he does what Fergie tells him end of.

I don't know if the rules are the same for the Mexico FA but in England, if selected, a player has to satisfy the England FA medical team before he can be excluded from the squad.

Apparently hes fit but tired, hes only played a handful of games this season.

    So its perfectly understandable.

  6. Can't disagree, just saying that Fergie and Man Utd have worked to get into a strong position where the club is bigger than the player so fair play to them.

I'll twist it slightly, what would have happened had we said to Mascherano, Babel, Lucas, Insua, etc that they couldn't go to the last Olympics...? Thats right, they'd have ****ed off. Why, because we are not in a position to manipulate players in the same way, we are not winning titles every year etc, in other words they could move to another club and get the same outputs etc.

I don't see how moaning or condemning Fergie and Man Utd will help with our situation either? If we have a lot of players wanting to go, moaning about it isn't going to stop them.

Cant remember any of our players that were prevented from playing for their respective countries but the players you mention apart from Lucas didn't or dont care if they stayed at LFC or not and therefore would have defied the manager and went to the tournament, so the same scenario as Hernandez cant apply.

    "our situation"?

  8. The possibility of Henderson, Kelly, Shelvey, Carroll, Sterling, Kelly, Spearing, Wilson and Coates all going to Olympics, plus any over aged players - Bellamy seems to be the only rumour that effects us.

If any of them were to be chosen KD wouldn't stop them going if they wanted to,theres the difference to the Hernandez situation.

ferguson actually has no right to stop hernandez and it could rumble on... not that it matters cos he's barely third choice.

in the end if bellamy goes who cares? he should be barely 4th choice by the start of next year and as for the rest, none are auto picks bar say lucas who can't go.

anyone who goes to the euros doesn't go btw.

  12. Your missing the point. We may have to start our season early due to having to play qualification games for the Europa League, if the youngsters are at the Olympics then they won't be able to play these games. This means the more senior players will have to play them, some of which will have been at the Euros and won't have had a long break. This could be damaging to our season next year.

If a player decides to go fine,if a player decides not to go fine,if a player is made not to go that's wrong,as in Hernandez's case.

  14. I don't agree that a player should be prevented from player for his national team, tournament matches or not. I am merely pointing out that the decision to try and prevent Javier going will be of benefit to Man Utd so fair play to them.

Feel sorry for Hernandez if he wants to go.

The Olympics will actually benefit Liverpool.

Due to policing the Games, London clubs will not be allowed to play any of their first three games at home. As teams tend to lose more away games than home games, it is likely that clubs outside London will have an advantage at the start of the season - ie the London clubs will have to play catch up.

This may seem a small advantage, but Clubs have to make the most of ANY advantage when chasing the title. (This is assuming of course that Liverpool will be chasing the title!) <ok>

Now now jacko, the last time the Swans had a sniff at the summit of the top league was under the guidance of the former Liverpool and Cardiff legend big John Toshack .

I think it'll be Elvis FC 1-2 Liverpool FC.

And the Geordies will get a result at Woodison therefore paving the way for us to finish on top of them yet again.
