The rules are not clear at all, absolute discretion that is not defined is not clear. The fA failed to have clear rules in matters that affect supporters and the community. So much so that a government consultations recommended that these aspects needed addressing.

If the FA had that power, they'd surely have used it by now. It seems the only thing the arbitration rejection would keep is the name on the results. The rest would seem to be as is.

Being honest Oba, if you were the Allams right now, would you let the current group anywhere near a decision on the club?

The new supporter's trust have not yet elected a committee or set any definite objectives or directives. Anybody is free to join the supporter's trust or indeed offer themselves for election to the committee..

I'd have thought AA would welcome this democratic process (it's the type of democracy he fled Egypt to embrace) & indeed encourage his "silent majority" to join the supporter's trust, get elected to the committee & influence the direction & objectives of the trust. They are after all the "majority". They could then work together, in tandem, to bring about his aims of bastardising the club's name in a flaccid attempt to have a petty & petulant dig at the city council under the pretence of it being a marketing masterpiece that will guarantee PL football for the PLWs.

In fairness to the FA, it's doubtful they could have ever envisaged a situatiln where a club wilfully markets itself in a manner that fails to recognise the team's playing name. They will, I hope ,opine on this matter once the arbitration is completed.

Yes, I've been looking at the OWS and Hull City is only written on the league table & 'Hull City Fixture List"
and on tigersplayer the highlights are presented as Hull City 0-3 Newcastle United
but the First Half/Second half and Interviews are all The Tigers v Newcastle United..
    what a mess..
it's like there's someone employed at CITY who has been instructed to go through everything with virtual tipex..

Allam says he came to the UK in 1968 after completing his post Graduate Diploma the same year - must have been awful for him being in prison, being tortured and passing a diploma at the same time, maybe they let him revise in between having his testicles electrocuted- he was also supposed to be a Senior Auditor in the Ministry again, at the same time - please check out the chronology of events - his own cv doesn't add up

The supporter's trust? Won't get far with only one supporter. We need a supporters' trust.

Agree with what you say in the second paragraph.

Until the FA decision is in, we don't know what effect it will have on how the club promotes itself, twt as Tickes woukd say.

Unless the FA reverse their decision, Allam will just continue to re-brand the club on whatever marketing assets the club has control over..
No-one tells him how to run his business.<laugh>

Don't for get he turned up pennyless, apart from a bag of forged money, wealthy family in the UK and access to money from family in Egypt. For a radical politician, he seemed to have lost interest the minute he was in a position of free speech.

None of which addresses the question of why Allam would want to deal with the group as it stands, given it has offered little but abuse and criticism and doesn't demonstrate that it represents fans.

Oi. Show some respect AKACTWDs committee represents the finest business minds in the north. They're not all massively successful and rich by accident you know.

If only Dr Allam had engaged them earlier, apologised to them and handed some shares in the club over to them. We'd be loaded now and looking at champs league next season.

Allam wouldn't want to deal with any group, nobody tells him what to do.

The groups you're in don't get told what to do either.

    That's different though, right?

It's certainly true that if he'd engaged with us earlier, he could have saved himself a lot of trouble and the majority of the nation wouldn't regard him as a nutter.

That's only your opinion, it isn't a fact. Given the comments and attitude since, perhaps his instinct has been proven correct.
