What a bell end. I voted sell, although if he apologises and stops acting like a complete helmet then I would definitely give him another chance to try and prove himself tbh.
If he attacked Fonte violently then I cant really see Fonte going "Yeah it's fine come back and play I don't mind that you batered my face"
We don't really know anything, so it seems strange to assume he's as good as gone. Considering the love-in when he signed, I'd be surprised if Pochettino was that ready to give up on him, and I'd be even more surprised if the money men were.
Well KL seems to be all about the public image of the club. This doesn't really help does it? I just can't see the team wanting him back after beating up one of our longest serving players.
"Beating up"? Is Fonte in traction or something? Sheesh. We've had other issues with Puncheon and Boruc in the past, and they were welcomed back. They weren't worth £15m either.
@SimonPeach: Hearing Mauricio Pochettino is ready to cut his losses with Dani Osvaldo. #SaintsFC would be lucky to get more than £10million for him.
I find it quite astonishing really. Makes the Forren transfer look measured and successful. Record signing out in six months? Sorry Poch, questions to be answered there.
He's a player of unquestioned talent and extremely questionable behaviour, whose period of best behaviour came during a previous link-up with Poch. It was a major gamble on a player who wouldn't have been available if not for the crazy, and many of us were apprehensive. For good reason, it appears. Still, what we recoup in transfer matters here; if our net exposure with the fee and assorted costs (wages, bonuses) amounts to a few mil, it hurts, and it's a lost opportunity, but it's not disastrously so...gambles are gambles because they don't always pay off. If we find out that interest in him has dried up on account of the madness, questions do need to be asked.
A fan tweeted to Luke Shaw: "tell José the fans are 100% behind him" Luke replied: "and the players "
Beating your team mate In training is on another level to red cards, touchline fracas. If peachy is correct I'm with Poch.
Why do you have to disagree with near enough everything people say? Beat up, hit, assaulted, headbutted whatever you want to call it. It was more then a simple slap, a headbutt then a punch is no way justified. I can understand a player slapping or pushing etc if he loses his temper. But come on this is well over the top and he needs to go. I liked Dani and never understood the moaning(football wise) but I can't stand here and say that's give him a second chance after assualting a team member.
I suspect this rests almost entirely with the rest of the team. If, when things are calmer, they are happy to forgive, forget and work with him then he'll be able to stay. If I were MP I'd have him booked in across the road the following day to get him to address whatever problems he has. If they really don't want him to be around, I suspect the club will be forced to call it a day and try to get as much for him as they can. Vin
