It's safe to say that the craic on the Mag board is poor and it rarely has anything original, witty or interesting. Always the same repetitive chinos/beel/warm glow/ shyte ... ... it's like an 'in joke' that people believe will eventually become funny if it's repeated often enough. Coming on here, repeatedly, to say someone is boring is ironically quite funny ..... quite an achievement for them tbh.
He doesn't help himself either mind you, 90% of the time he only comments on things Newcastle and which most of those are an attempt to WUM. It is completely ****, and I'm guilty of calling him a couple of times because he brings nothing to the forum IMO and only derails threads with tear Newcastle slanging matches. I'm not sticking up for the mags in question, but it is a two way street IMO and both sides are bringing the board down further.
It's newcastle or himself as a general rule of thumb. They could take him back, he's their poster not ours. It blatantly abundant from his posting history where his home is on this site and it's not here. It's been dumped on us and our mods just take it so we have to. @brb would you please look into fredor's ban on the mag board and judge if he's done his time? Can't have been that bad to still be banned, he's wummed them for years and they've lapped it up. Now they've banned him it has drawn him here and now the Mags come over here to bait him instead. Fredor has never posted here until they banned them. Why should we suffer for their drama?
A few weeks ago there was a vote on the board (just passing on information here, form your own opinions thanks) regarding whether to lift the ban on Fredor. I was very vocal about the fact that Fredor and I have disagreed on things in the past, many things, most things truth be told, but that he's harmless and can be decent banter. I like the guy mainly, even when he's being pig-headed and seemingly talking about irrelevant things or taking pedantry to new heights he tended to get posters involved and I always assumed he had a wry smile on his face (though even if he didn't then fair play). I steer clear when him and comm go at it (and same with smug and comm) but just because I've got no qualms with any of them. I definitely think he should be allowed back onto the Newcastle board but I am very much in the minority. If I was a mod over there he'd be back on.
I think he was just being a pest. Although I didn't agree with the ban I would add some context by saying that he seemed to post a lot more on the Newcastle board than he has on the Sunderland board (even recently) so anyone who has found him annoying around here can multiply those feelings by a significant amount to understand how it was on our board. There was a lot of what people saw as thread derailing. My points would be though: a) He generally stayed approximately on topic b) Yes he put down Newcastle (and most posters) with most of his comments but it's a free forum! c) They're just ****ing words, ignore him if you don't like it. Like I say I'm in the minority but I thought he added at least as much as he took away. I can see how some of the disagreements which broke out may have dissuaded some of the more casual posters though. I genuinely don't think that was his aim to be fair.
I don't buy that, i've seen that board goad him back with a great deal of glee. He never posted he before the ban. He's not our poster. If he hasn't actually done anything wrong they should unban him.
Fair enough regarding the goading, I think most of the board had a give and take with him but there are some who avoided him altogether as he could be a bit much. There's no point in my trying to guess too much to be honest as I've never had a problem with the guy. Fredor and I have had a few times where we called each other out and once (on here I think? though may have been the mags board) where he accused me of something I showed wasn't the case. To a neutral it would probably come across as there was a dislike there but (i think) we both kind of enjoy and take it in the correct spirit. As for the unbanning, I agree and said as much on the Newcastle board. Not me in charge though
Just looked. Fredor been posting on the mag board since 2011, then he gets banned for just doing what he does? That's bullshite. Albert and his little banned of knackers being children is all it is.
There's a few of our lads should be unbanned too. The way they cried at taggate yet none of them were banned as long as Bill has.
